Tex, ya remember who crewed the Lotus in '65?

Green onna car was a big time no-no in NASCAR. Then Waltrip showed up drivin' for Di-Gard with Gatorade as a sponsor. Won a pile of races.

Then he moves over to Junior Johnson with Mountain Dew for a sponsor. Everyone kindah forgot about green bein' bad luck.

I got my years mixed up. Rodger Ward won 2nd in 64, Clark finished 24th(transmission problem)  Clark did sit on the pole in 64.  In 65 when Clark won the car # was 82. A car with that high a number had never won before.

No peanuts in the garage or on pit road. That one I never could understand. Mustah had sumthin' ta do with haulin' 'shine.

Hey, How about the BIF, he done won hisself a race. He kept LIL jj out of the winners circle, which is the most important thing. I think BIF may have been sand-bagging a little on that last run. Cuzzin Carl got 3rd. The 18 seemed to be snake-bit from the git go.

What makes it stranger, NASCAR was mostly a southeast sport then 'n we got peanuts up the ying yang......

Did look kindah like Biff played 'im for a sucker on the last run.

I don't think I've ever heard of a heim joint bustin' without help before. Logano sure was a bust.

Next race is Dover, all concrete racetrack. It should be tough on tires. It should be another chess game like Loudon. Ol' Mo is easin' a little over to the Roush folks for right now. It is going to be interesting from now on. Bad luck in one race can kill ya. Kyle lost his momentum and his points. He will come back with a vengence which means some feelins' and some sheetmetal is gonna get bent this week and through the rest of the Chase.

On the 18, watched the game last night then scanned the news. Crapped out late 'n fairly confident I knew what happened to the car. Post race interview, Addington clearly said the joint broke. In the local rag from the area he called it a part failure without bein' specific as to what part.

The writer from the local rag here doesn't quote Makar but he said he talked to 'im 'n was told a bolt was left loose or the joint wasn't properly adjusted.

Which is it, boys?

I kindah lean ta Edwards on concrete. He's been onna roll. Yesterday was his best run on a track he historically doesn't do well on.

Leo, I ain't ignorin' yer question. Just when it gets outside of NASCAR or the NHRA I can't help ya. The other stuff I'm not interested in.

Good game for the Steelers. I enjoyed that one in weather I think football should be played in. Really gottah laff outtah Rot-whatever's (ain't EVEN gonna try'n spell it) post game interview. Only took the l'il bleach-blonde, reporterette, chicky babe three tries to realize he wasn't gonna answer questions about his shoulder.

They used ta just shoot em up with cortizone.  Roethlisberger may need a little more care.  Low scoring game, but a good fight.

Didn't see the bleach blonde, but I do enjoy the dark haired gal on ESPN.  Names Molly I think, perty and knows the game.

Normally QB's don't wear the same type of pads that a lineman wears. Bigger pads cut down on their throwing motion. Lack of padding leaves them vounrable to injury in the shoulder area when they're taken down.

Hearin' a couple RUMORS I'm findin' kindah interestin' 'n prolly readin' too much inta.

Ganassi werkin' on a merger with Waltrip 'n GEM lookin' inta buyin' the 22 operation from BDR.

Wonderin' if they're tryin' ta get ahead of the curve anticipatin' Dodge goin' away by already havin' Toyotas ta werk with prior to a complete change over. Dodge has been right funny 'bout their folks playin' with other manufacturers. Hell, fined Petty almost 50K for relievin' a sick Harvick cuz the car was a Chevrolet.

Maybe they know sumthin' they ain't tellin'. They again, maybe it's been dreamed up by the writers. Or sumthin' like Dilner 'n RCR's 'bleeder wheels'. Drop a l'il cock 'n bull story on one of the most brilliant talkin' heads in the werld of broadcast journalism 'n watch the fool run with it.

As more comes out 'bout the 18, lookin' like our local rag writer done screwed up what he thought Makar told him. Nothin' was left loose or out of adjustment. A part broke. That's from everyone from the Coach to the car chief.

Those do sound interesting. Metal parts break. I am sure all those parts are stressed to the max and parts will break.  Kurt Johnson broke a starter in the Pro stock finals yesterday on the startin' line.

An old bedtime story. Kindah like what ya see from some folks in the Darksiders' Den 'bout Black Powder.

Back in the day, 'fore I was born, (seriously) Mantz won the Southern 500 in a Mayflower they'd used ta run errands at the track. Put truck tires on it 'n he kept puttin' along while they were pickin' the fast cars outtah the fence. Blown tires.

Them days is long gone.
