NASCAR calls the weekends races official 'n does the butt kickin' on Tuesdays. Don't remember when they didn't. Both series.

They've acknowledged both cars were legal thru the race. It was the spacin' of the pedals with the magnets for the chassis dyno thing that got their hackles up. Maybe they're lookin' for a president...

Gibbs is doin' his own investigation. Sez when he gets to the bottom of it heads will roll.

Crew chiefs Jason Ratcliff (18) 'n Dave Rogers (20) suspended indefinitely 'n fined $50,000 each.

18 car chief Dorian Thorsen, engine tuner Michael Johnson 'n crew member Toby Bigelow - indefinite suspensions.

20 car chief Richard Bray 'n engine tuner Dan Bajek - indefinite suspensions.

Gibbs said he'd also personally fine the crew members involved 'n suspend them through the end of the season. I'd say the Coach is pissed.

Points are part of it but they're inconsequential at the moment. Neither driver is in the runnin' 'n the 20 is still way out front in owner's points.

I think it's time for Joe to take back all the reins at JGR.   Those are some serious fines, hoprfully they have got some folks in place to take the crew chief duties on both cars and replacements for the others.  We'll see if it causes much of a hiccup at JGR.

That's what I'm wonderin' 'bout. NASCAR can only keep 'em 'em out of the track garages. Is the Coach gonna toss 'em out the shop 'n bar 'em from participatin' on race day? If so that ain't good.

McSwain was out with surgery 'n talked 'bout callin' the shots usin' a computer 'n Trac Pass. Talkin' to the crew by cell phone. It's been rumored that's how Knaus 'n Eury did it while they were suspended. .

NASCAR is snatchin' motors to take back to Concorde. Next race the Toyotas will be choked down. Damned shame when ya get penalized for hard work.

He'll drive at Richmond in the 02 car, Home Depot, with a reverse paint scheme from the 20.

Sayin' he'll run a total of seven cup races. Some in the 96.

I'm with ya. A pile of wins 'n two championships. He's already familiar with the boy's personality. Should work out well.

Meant ta say before. Kindah thought the Gatorade rumor was fishy. Way too much Coke money involved.

They have confirmed that Texaco is out of Nascar. Gonna seen funny not to see Havoline on a race car.

Sorensen signed with Evernham for next year.  Does that give them 4 cars now?  Another new number?  I read where Stewart didn't get #4 for next year, so 39 will be Newman's #.   Morgan-McClure is tryin' to get a car ready for Daytona.

MMR raised unholy hell when the news broke NASCAR gave the 4 to Stewart. Newman used 39 in USAC. Suppose he ain't upset o'er it.

You may have a better source on Sorenson. All I'm seein' is speculation. Some are sayin' GEM will field four. Others are sayin' Carpenter is out of the 10. I dunno.

Texaco. Davey Allison. The Death Star. Awwww heck, Tex. Still sad. Bein' a 3 fan I used ta hope they wouldn't show up. For me it hasn't been the same anyway.

Strange but true. I was in the standin' in the same spot when I heard the news Allison had been killed as I was when I heard Irvan had been seriously injured.

Nascar.com says that Sorensen signs a multi-year deal with Evernham.  No sponsor or car # mentioned.   The #10 car was not addressed.

Always have problems with that thing loadin'. Maybe it don't like my 'puter. Quit usin' the leaderboard when Fox started FoxTrax.

Just saw a GEM update. They're talkin' like it'll be a fourth car but ain't sayin' it. Sayin' they're workin' on a sponsor 'n number.

Well, If they give Reed a new team and keep the # 10, that will give them the max # of 4 teams. I guess RCR is goin' that way too.  Looks like they're all takin advantage of  havin' 4 teams.
