I haven't heard anything about Tommy in a long time,  drove #18, as I remember.  Arcey, I'm havin' a cold Bud Light and watchin' the Truck practice.

I was too. Found this while I was watchin':

Ellis ran Langley regular 'n usually won. Dirty racer there. Took out Joe Faulk (owned a cup team a couple years) one evenin'. They got it rollin' again 'n Joe drove around the bottom waitin for Tommy 'n Lord knows how many times he hit 'im. Hehehehe! I mean he pushed Tommy sideways across the infield. Ain't never heard that crowd cheerin' that loud.

Arcey, I've watchin' a replay of the ARCA race from KY.  Toyos ran 1 and 2. RedBull car won.  That's a neat picture of that diecast.  Ireally loved those old MC Aerocoupes. I would like to have one of those #18 cars.   Those durn Toyos are outrunning folks in every series they run in.

Yep. That 200 ta 300 more horsepower sher did help. Lucky guesses on pit strategy didn't make no difference in gettin' the 2 'n 01 out front. Quickest car all e'enin' was Kimmel's Roush Ford.

Stenhouse was strong 'til one of them mall-walkin', gum poppin', trashy lookin' Cope twins spun 'n kicked crap up on the track he knocked the crap outtah the valance of his Roush Ford with.

Hope whoever was responsible for that l'il publicity stunt with those two freakin' girls are real proud of themselve(s) this mornin'.

Neither of the dreaded Toyotas er lookin' like giant killers in NNS or NCTS final practices yestiddy.  Time, pit calls 'n tore up sheet metal will tell.

Well , Given the consistency of the  #20 car, Lagano has got to be the favorite for the NNS at St. Louis. In the Truck race, you got about 5 trucks   Busch, Hornaday, Benson, Bodine, and Skinner are my 5 to watch.

Thinkin' Sprague is kindah due. Fastest yestiddy.

They've taken Hensley away from Skinner. That was a long time relationship. Don't think the 5 will be a factor.

All said 'n done I'll go with Busch.

The Toyo's are the favorite in the Trucks, Hornaday is always a darkhorse.

I just finished watchin the last half of the NNS race at St. Louis.  Cousin Carl won,  the 99 and 88 were strong until they wrecked.  They just couldn't get that 20 right all night.

Well, I didn't get to watch much of the Truck race. I checked the summary this morning.   Benson won and went back to the points lead.  KB finished 6th, and Hornaday finished in top 10. He dropped to 3rd in points.

Trucks weren't bad. Benson stunk it up once he got out front. The move to get it out front was sumthin', four wide fightin' for it. Chrissy was doin' good but someone needs to climb her rear end this mornin'. When yer a vet ya don't screw with JACK SPRAGUE, ya sure as hell don't do it as a rookie. Male, female, he don't care. For Heaven's sake, girl! When he's PO'ed from havin' mechanical trouble anyway, pass 'im clean er follow 'til ya can. Don't try ta rough house 'im out the way!

Looked ta me the 20 wasn't right early on. Then again Logano's been testin' cup cars 'n ain't been in a NNS car for awhile 'n I was thinkin' some of it could be him but whaddah I know. Hated the thing between the 99 'n 88. Gettin' so I'm gettin' tired of Bowyer's whinin'. Glad ta see his lead shrinkin'.

Smack 'im upside the head with the cuttin' board.........

Sure ain't nothin' shakin' worth talkin' 'bout goin' on.

Dyno numbers after Chicago's NNS race were talked 'bout on radio. Ain't trustin' it 'til it's backed up.  Was sayin' it was the 99, 18, two unidentified Roush Fords then the 20. Top five in the tests, ten HP difference first to last. My guess on the Fords would be the 60 'n the 6.

No credible talk of who may land in which seat. The appellate board upheld the penalties on the 1.  NASCAR still has the car but no word of if they're plannin' on keepin' the thing.

From what I read about the test, the Fords seem to produce just about as much as the Toyos.  I figure Jack has been burnin' alot of midnight oil to get ahead of the Toyos on performance.  The Toyos seem to set the bar pretty high, now everyone has to scramble to catch up. The guy that is over the Toyos used to work for Jack and there has been friction between them.

Hehehe...  Ennybody werkin' fer Roush 'n left done so without friction?

Goes back ta the whinin'. 'Fore he 'n Hendrick were whinin' 'bout Toyota power, Roush was whinin' 'bout the other three havin' new motors approved 'n he was still runnin' the old one. Dime to a donut he knew what he had 'n what JGR had before those tests were ever run.

Sure wish I was gonna be at Indy this weekend for the Brickyard Nascar race.  That's a special place for a real racin' fan. I've never been up there for the Nascar race. WE used to get free tickets to the INDY 500 ever year.  My Dad was a real fan of the roadsters of the 50's and the early 60's.  The suoercharged 4 cylinder Offenhauser engine runnin' on racin' fuel.

For a southeastern kid interested in racing, Darlington was the ultimate.

NASCAR is chokin' down the Toyotas. That's why I wrote I didn't trust that info I had the other day.

Numbers published by NASCAR: Toyota 632, Dodge 628, Chevrolet 612 'n Ford 611. Reckon no one told the 60 it was 21 horsepower down last weekend.
