Tragically, yes.

With my notorious dislike for the spoiled child, prone-to-temper-tantrum driver, I won't comment on it other than briefly. I don't know all the facts and/or circumstances.

He tangled with another driver on a dirt track in a sprint car race. The other guy wrecked his and got out to gesture at Stewart while the caution was out. Somehow or another, Stewart ran over the kid. Kevin Evans, Jr. was pronounced dead at 2315 hours.

Like you i don't know all the facts. Story here says that evans was wearing a black suit on a dimly lit track. That maybe a partial factor.

Some witnesses are sayin' Stewart goosed the thing when he got to him 'n turned the car a bit sideways. Again, no judgment, but that's certainly possible. Intimidation or an attempt to throw dirt on the kid.

Whether I don't like him or not, he admitted to wreckin' Joey Logano to 'teach him a lesson.' This, I ain't likin' at all.

There is a youtube video- i won't post it. I did watch it twice and it looks as if he fishtailed and got him with right rear tire. Regardless both had a temper issue.

Either way, It was a tragedy of great proportions. It will be something that he will not ever forget.

Watched the Glen today, quite a show 'dinger put on, and he put it to a proven hot-shoe road racer in Ambrose.
Shows something when the Head cheeses Roger Penske & Richard Childress , come to victory lane to congratulated him.
I was happy to see JTG Daugherty Racing get the solid deserved win.
I was also pleased to see 'Dinger offer sympathy to the Ward family elated as he was, he's a class act....
Allmendinger has a new contract, a solid sponsor backing extension, and solid W , good for him 

Considering I had just about weaned myself off watching the Hendricks show .... this one was fun to watch.

Proud of Allmendinger 'n the whole bunch. JTG, an RCR satellite, doin' somethin' RCR ain't done this year – win a cup race.

Wonder if NASCAR's gonna put Newman on double secret probation for tellin' the truth 'bout that relic they was racin' on. Guess Jeff Gordon or 'nother HMS driver has ta hit where SAFER barriers ain't ta get things up to snuff. Lesser drivers don't count.

Stupid ACLU will fight for his/her rights to medical treatment, but we have thousands of Veterans that can't get treated for service related disabilities. What is wrong with this country?

I can get into the "beer" drinking part of this thread... but, I have to apologize, the "racing and the football" parts are as exciting as watching paint dry, grass grow, or chrome bumpers rust.

I have drank my share of Beer, I was raised up in a garage, where my Dad built race engines and race cars from the time was born(1946). We owned and sponsored race cars. I drove a stock class car at drag strips. Football is a religion in Texas.

JD wants an owners trophy he needs to get rid of the retreads. Hornish, two missed shifts leadin' to two blow motors in his last three races. Blew one up in Chicago the same way. The win in Iowa was a fluke thing. Kinda why he ain't drivin' for Penske no more 'n no one else wants 'im.
