I'm not a Hendrick fan now or ever, Wonder Wimp and his lil' buddy are a couple of whiners when things don't go their way. I am very sorry that Little E joined that bunch, but what is done is done. I've never liked Wonder Wimp. I think wants to be able to intimidate other drivers like Sr. did. It ain't ever gonna happen. He's a PUNK, first and foremost. I would pay good money to put my foot up his butt.

Unfortunately, I am very opinionated when it comes to NASCAR and the drivers. I like most of them, most of the ones i have followed, are retired. I have adopted Dale Jr as my favorite. He's not a whiner like Jeffy or Jimmy. I watched my first Nascar race at Daytona in 1963.

What I thought odd was Penske decided not to re-sign him. Like to have the detail on that one. Penske directs too much effort to the minor leagues.

Speakin' of the latest 'n greatest new combination for '09, Stewart-Haas. Read an article by a former full time NASCAR reporter who does 'real news' now. He was sayin' if it wasn't the 'truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth' it wasn't worth reporting.

Then he writes about Stewart buying into Haas. Guess he does his research by reading a couple articles by other reporters who, like him, either didn't read the quotes from or pay any attention to the press conference. Custer hisownself or Stewart. Stewart was GIVEN 50% as part of the deal to make the jump from JGR.

Rumors were Newman had been offered a deal involving partial ownership in a team. When asked about that Custer said Haas had no plans to transfer any shares to other drivers.

Well, No Cups races till Indy. This weekend is NNS and Craftsman Truck Series. The NNS series is at Gateway which is near ST. LOUIS. The Craftman Truck Series at Kentucky is usually a good race to watch. The points race in the Truck Series is close right now. The points lead can change from race to race. So Arcey and I will have some racin' to watch and some Bud Light to drink.

Tex, the writers with 'special inside' info are in a feedin' frenzy. Hate ta repeat some of it.

Newman to Stewart I'll buy. Mears quittin' stock cars 'n goin' back ta open wheel might happen if he can't get a ride in NASCAR 'n a seat opens over there. Heck, ya listen ta all of 'em 'n Truex will be drivin' three cars next year.

Best news I've heard I can count on is Sarah Fisher gettin' Dollar General on board for a couple races so she can put her open wheeler back on the track.

She's had some ruff goin' since before Indy. IRL has just about ruined the concept of the "little man" in racing. They just can't compete without big money.

I just checked some of the entries in the Truck race at Kentucky. Some of the drivers are from the Dallas area. For a long time, David Starr was the only Texas drivers. I don't think we will ever have a driver from Texas that will come close to the legacy of AJ Foyt. Whether you loved him or hated him, he was one hell of a driver in anything he got behind the wheel of.

Starr has a personality 'n an attitude ya kindah gottah like. Pissed me off big time over the cheap shot Lia put on 'im in Ohio. He didn't complain but it wasn't hard to see the disappointment.

Todd Bodine called it right 'n I saw it the way he did. I'd ah been Starr someone would have had to restrain me from goin' after a hunk of Lia's backsides when I got outtah the truck.

Arcey, Back in the early 80's, I worked security at a 1/4 mile dirt track on Fri and Sat. nights. We had to break up more fights in the pits than we ever had in the stands. They allowed drinking in the stands and not in the pits.

If I ain't told it before. In the pits after a race at Langley. Tommy Ellis (brief cup career) punched Emanual Zervakis (that's probably spelled wrong, old timer, had his hand in everything NASCAR) Zervakis spun 'n went down face first into an open trailer. He looked like he'd been in an accident with no seat belt. Bloody mess. Tommy went to jail.

That was when the NNS were late models. Been to a lot of fights but was the worst one punch damage I've ever seen.
