Mark could give some good finishes for the 14 car. Mark can still drive a race car and he is always in top physical condition. he is a great mentor to younger drivers.

I just read SHR offers ride to Kurt Busch for 2014....

So if Kurt goes to Stewart/Hass in a 4 th. car,  Newman was robbed ...

However except for pretty girl...that will be a stong driver line up with Stewart/Busch/Harvich /---------$ cash cow Patrick $

That should put Newman in the 29

The rumors about Mark Martin and Kurt Busch driving for SHR are interesting. I don't think that Newman will have any trouble getting a ride for next year.

SHR & even Furniture Row are Hendricks stable customer cars.... So if KB came with Monster Energy money I could see the 4th Car at
SHR.... Be interesting to see the two hot heads teamed up....
But I think both are seeing that Long Green Trumps short temper RED.

I personally think Newman gets the 42 , or the long shot is a short 1 or two year contract at RCR.

I think MM gets a sweet deal .. finishes the year for Smoke, then a development coach at  RCR for the Grand kids ( not a bad plan )
and a few select wheel jobs with RCR just to satisfy his racy itch in 2014 and beyond.

The FR operation is RCR affiliate. One of their admin dudes just left Denver for Welcome, NC. The official werd is a change of employment but that's kinda like Gordon "ownin'" the 48. Inbreedin' 'n nepotism.

Thinkin' Newman to RCR myownself. Just wonder how that squares, or he squares it, or if it was honest when he said he wanted to go to someone who wanted him for him. RCR wants him for the sponsor's money 'n ta keep the seat warm for the grand kids.

Thought I saw Harvick'd drive a 4 car too. Don't know if NASCAR took the number from McClure 'n put it up for grabs or if he sold the rights. 39 was Newman's semi-pro number. I dunno.

'Course, the RCR-FR thing goes in the crapper if Toyota offers FR a better package than the government's retail automotive manufacturin'/marketin' division. Then they could be the top dog of a hook-up with the Geschickters 'n Daugherty.

Kyle did win the truck race in Bristol. Bristol races are always interesting and full of controversy.
