It looks like Max Papis will be subbing for Tony Stewart this weekend at Watkins Glen.

Max the Ax is Road Racing ACE , if he can wrap around handle on the NASCAR Brickmobiles  he'll do well.

Smoke may have more issues that the broke leg, blood thinners are needed prevent clots.
He won't be cleared to return while on thinners because he could bleed to death if involved in a wreck.
He might be back, somewhere in the Chase, but he's toast in making it in to the chase...Good for Newman though.

I had not heard about Smoke being on blood thinners, those are usually reserved for old farts like me. I have been fortunate not to have been on them at any time.

I was really surprised that the cowboys beat Miami.  They play the dreaded Oakland Raiders next.

Thanks to a fumble on a kickoff return by the boys, Oakland got any easy touchdown and won the game.  I do not think that Oakland is that good. The Dallas defense looks better in the 4-3 than the 3-4.

Busch fouled that up all by hisownself yestitty. Did manage a Patrick like finish with a beat up car.

He's got a shot if he can get some breaks like the caution flyin' when he was leavin' the pits. That won it. I was wonderin' what Ambrose would do in traffic 'n found out. In front was kinda critical.

Was on the radio when Gordon wrecked 'n didn't see it. Said he did it all by himself. The ole boy sounded kinda low in the MRN interview. Too bad about a couple of the thief's other cars. Was awful sad ta see that happen to 'em.

June BUG's and Kasey's cars were so much scrap. I was sorta hoping that Truex would win yesterday.

Gordons is "polly" out,  less NASCAR  pulls some rabbit out of its hat.

it is about to get Western around this Sprint Cup Series.

Ya can bet NASCAR's gonna do all they can do ta get Gordon 'n the other one a win by Richmond. Michigan this weekend. Latarte could come up with another mileage win.

Keselowski 'n Bowyer are both in at the moment. Don't care much for one of  'em but I'd take either one winnin' it all without winnin' a race. Maybe that'd embarrass NASCAR enough ta trash this chase thing

Hearin' Stewart's outta the hospital. Hope he heals up in time ta run a lot ah sprint car things soon's they get underway next year. Show us mortals what racin' really is. After all, "You guys need to watch more sprint car videos and stuff. It was not a big deal. It's starting to get annoying this week about that, so that was just an average sprint car wreck. When they wreck they get upside down like that. That was not a big deal."

I think that JJ is prolly a lock to make the Chase, It's a crap shoot for the rest of the drivers.
