The Dinger only had a one year deal with Penske, with a possible extension, based on his performance this year. The team had enough bad press and Penske knew it was time to move on. I don't think that Hornish is a long-term fix. After news release happens on where Kenseth goes, the chess game will begin.

Hornish been with Penske forever. If nothin' else they know each other well. All Penske has to do is convince Shell he can be competitive in cup cars. Popular opinion is he's as good as he's ever gonna be.

Heard reported Allmendinger 'n Speed been feudin' since they was kids in go carts. The former can complete rehab 'n go after the latter's start-'n-park rides next year. Either will be pumped 'n very excited ta be drivin' Pluto Racin's Ford, sponsored Fred's Lawn Service.

They won't let me bring my wrecker to the tracks to help with the towing. My wrecker is a 38 Ford 2dr Sedan with the back end cutoff with a hand crank winch. Folks with those factory built wreckers just make fun of me. That was my Dad's first wrecker when he opened his garage and wrecker service in 46.

Yep! Lots of Beatin', Bangin', Bumpin', a bunch of bent up race cars, and a lot of peeved drivers and crews. That's Bristol on a Sat. night. I lot work for the fabricators come Monday morning.

The fabricators are busy all the time, either repairing the wrecked cars and building new ones to replace the one's that are too damaged to rebuild.

Back in the time of the dinosaurs, we'd go to Martinsville in the fall. The last short track race for the season. The cars had already been there once. They'd been to N. Wilkesboro, Richmond, Nashville, Riverside 'n Bristol twice.

There wasn't a straight hunk of sheet metal or bumper on 'em. Bondo, patches 'n plugs on parade.

That will affect the Truck series, Nationwide, Nextel, and ARCA. The new 2013 model will not appear. I wonder if this will affect Andretti's involvment in NASCAR next year. It had been rumored that they would field Dodges in 2013.

Chrysler dropped support to the truck series when Evernham ran outta money he was wastin' on Erin 'The Real Deal' Crocker. At least as a driver. He had other jobs for 'er.

Kligerman is still in the Penske development system 'n drivin' the surrogates' stuff when assigned. The other couple three still usin' 'em are runnin' leftovers.

Saw an article a few weeks ago sayin' Andretti was stayin' out of it for now. A matter of money.

Well I guess leftovers is better than none at all. I guess that Andretti could buy into one of the existing organizations. Marco doesn't want anything to do with driving in NASCAR.

I don't keep up with the series. Was he talkin' 'bout puttin' his kid in a stock car?

Maybe for a while, but Marco wants to stay in Indy Car or Open wheel racing. His grand dad was able to adapt to driving stock cars in the 60s and 70s and do pretty good at it.
