Chrysler bailed on factory support of the trucks a couple years ago. Those runnin' the things are runnin' scraps 'n left overs.

Gordon runs what's cheapest for 'im. He was gettin' his Chrysler stuff time 'fore this from Evernham. That's where the unapproved nose he got dinged for come from. He'll probably try'n strike a deal for used stuff from Roush, Gibbs er the thief  - if he keeps messin' with it at all. 

Be curious if there's gonna be a connection twix Roush 'n Penske or if Penske's gonna be doin' their own R&D.

That's a good question. I figger that at first they will rely on Roush-Yates, the R&D will come soon after. I think Penske made up his mind on Ford when he saw the 2013 Ford unveiled.

The 62 Fords had 406s. The 63 Fords started with 427s with 2 4s. Nascar made them use one 4 barrel rated at 410 hp. the drag race model with 2 4s was rated at 425 hp.  The HP version of the 406 had 3 2 barrels and was rated at 405 Hp.

Yep, Those long oval aircleaners are worth what ever folks wanna spend on them. Those factory tr-power 348s and the 409 2fours aircleaners are spensive too.

Elliott Sadler's win catalysts the announcement he picked up 5 races with MWR and drive the No. 55 Toyota in five Sprint Cup races in 2012 beginning at Bristol in March.

Sadler will also drive the 55 in the other Bristol race- both Martinsville races-JULY race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Mark may be 53 years old, but he prolly the most physically fit driver in Nascar. He works out ever day and he can still drive a race car. MWR seems to be doing all the right things, with the hiring of MM and Clint Bowyer and the addition of Elliott Sadler.  I look for the Roush Fords to be strong as well as Tony Stewart today.

I'm thinking it will be a Government Motor's day as much as I would like to see the Blue Ovals rock; however, time will tell and I'm banking on a great race today regardless.

Hoping Allmendinger does well. He's in decent equipment for the first time off a plate track. Needs to take advantage of it early while the Chrysler stuff is still fresh prior to the change over. I don't look for Penski to make much noise after the halfway point.

I predict a lot of RF blow outs and some dented RF sheetmetal today. Phoenix is a track well suited to Stewart, he should do well today.

Wow..... Yota Day...  been awhile for the 11 car..... Thought it was gunna be Have-a-wreck in the Gubbermint Motor Car 'bout ready to pounce on Hamlin for the finish line... still need gas for EFI    

Don't know what happened to the local guy, he just drop'd off..... maybe fuel too....  

JR struggled all day....  tuff track for the 88...

Congrats to Hamlin, a long dry spell. I think Tony might have won if he had not shut off his car to save fuel. It would not re fire. Harvick didn't have enough car left to win. A good third place for Biffle. Wonder wimp and 5 time finished in the top ten. On to Vegas, the Fords should be fast.

Harvick has learned to take of his equipment till the end of the race and is poised to take the lead near the end.
