Folks kin knock Harvick all they want. Fact is he implemented his own drug testin' program fer KHI before NASCAR adopted a stricter 'n more comprehensive policy. On top of that, DeLana 'n he are the first in line fer the testin'. They open the results for everyone to see. I gottah respect that.

Those guys are given rock star status and they are all under a microscope by the press. It's a postive for Harvick to get his business out front of everybody.

Known morons like that in construction. Get told the insurance company requires drug tests an they do em anyway. Thought everybody knew by now that the stuff don't just leave yer system over night. Guess there's a bunch who were stoned that day in class an missed the info.

Used ta be rumors goin around that ya could beat a breathalizer by puttin pennies in yer mouth. Whata ya think the first question a cop is gonna ask when ya got a mouthfull a pennies? There's some really fine specimines a humanity out there. Hope none of them choked themselves balievin it was true.

Was a licensed 'n certified Breathalyzer operator by the Commonwealth of Virginia for a while. Trust me. Ya ain't gonna blow inta that machine with anything in yer mouth other than a tounge 'n some teeth.

Want my pards ta know I'm sober when I handle loaded firearms 'round 'em. Toys or not, if it takes a l'il pee in a bottle so be it. No sweat. Hell, I done done it for the city of Norfolk 'n NAPA twice.

These guys are runnin' 200 mph on the track inna 3450 pound hunk of machinery. They gottah know the boys what put it tagether have their heads on straight. Then the over the wall crew are stickin' their necks out jumpin' over the wall ta service the cars. They rate the same respect for their safety, accordin' ta me.

Took one at MEPS an another fer a plumbin job. When I took that second one the lab guy tolt me it was too clear. It was the middle of summer an I was diggin ditches out in the sun all day. Drank bout 2 gallons a water everyday to keep hydrated. The guy acted like I had handed him a cup full of pure water even though he watched me go.

Only bad time I've had was the last time. Didn't have ta pee. All they had ta hekp was water, no coffee. Sat there o'er an hour before the celebrated event.

Looks of the weather there wouldn't be racin' if it was scheduled fer this weekend. What hurts werse is a pard of mine went ta SC for a big shoot he's been lookin' forward to. Weather prediction is as wet 'n chilly as it is here.

That happened ta one of the guys at MEPS. Mebbe he didn't like bein elbow ta elbow with a bunch of other guys with a sgt starin at his goods. They wrote the poor guy guy off as "refusal to submit sample". He was going fer the Marines an his recruiter tore 'im a new one in the hallway as if the kid was already in the service. He tried 3 times er so and ended up loosin his cookies all over the bathroom wall. Guess things worked out fer the best fer him. Barfin under stress is frowned upon in the Corps.

Weather's just too dern nice here taday. A littlle chilly but not bad. Lil wants ta go shoot as soon as I finish ma phonecalls. Only got a couple left.

Here too. Wonder whut kindah politics schedules Bristol for this time a year. Snowed on 'em year 'fore last. I remember Richmond in February. That was about smart. Still think that's what NASCAR used ta kill Rockingham 'n move the date away from the south east.

Thing is, if they tried ta kill Bristol they'd be facin' crazed lynch mobs.
