I recieved a nice belt and holster set from my father. He had the belt lengthened. There is a conch over the old pattern .It looks like I could cut the string and match up the holes and just re sew it.  I don't really see a problem with this, so I wanted advice from the good people here. What type of thread should I use? Any other advise would be appreciasted. Or should I just take it to a leather shop? Thank you all, RugerBob

Bob,

For most of my sewing I use a waxed thread..you'll of course need to match up to the existing color and weight of the thread.

take a look at these.

If you get to thinking your important..try ordering someone elses dog around!

Buy some thread from tandy and re sew it. If you take it to a shop they will use a machine and punch a bunch of new holes in your leather.
