While this is a kind offer from Mr. Imperato, please note that the Henry Big Boy is not a legal firearm for use in SASS shoots.  Please check with your local clubs before buying this or any gun that might not be allowed at the shooting event.

Yeah...the leverguns just don't look like anything out of the old west, do they.  Maybe if tonyguns spent some time at the cas shoots he'd get some ideas for some new products more along cas lines.  He'd sell a bunch of them.  As far as big business supporting...well, I'd prefer we pay our way.  Seems when "the corporates" get involved, everything shifts towards makin money. :'( :'(

Knowing a bit about the cost of putting on a larger match, I'm glad we have folks that can help out.

It is too bad about the Big Boy not being worked out for SASS shoots, but that's water under the bridge  - for me at least.

But those little 22 Yellowboys sure are a great fun rifle for plinking - and a good practice gun.

Finally, if it supports firearms rights, I for it.

I didn't mean to be  harsh.  I'm just affeared that if big business gets to involved CAS will get over-commercialized.   Fact is the support of the Henry Arms Company is welcome an I'm sure their presence will enhance the matches.  I own a Henry .22 mag golden boy and it is a joy to shoot.  Looks pretty hangin on the wall, too!   :D

I pick up my Big Boy more than any other gun I own now. I use it for plinking, Hunting large and small game. It is very acurate and has the smoothest action of any lever I own (6 at present) or have owned, The only close runner is my Marlin. I am sorry I can
not compare it to any of the Italian copies because I feel if you are American you should buy American with NO EXCEPTIONS!.  Sorry, worked in the mines for about 15 years and was brain washed to think this way after seeing American workers sent home because the Japanese could produce aggregate products for 3 cents a ton cheaper. Yes I did say 3 cents a ton!
I would like to see Henry Big Boy rifles become legal, It supports our brothers and shoots like a dream.

Thanks,

Give it a rest.. I'm locking it.

Sorry, if the above sounded harsh.  You are new here and may be new to boards like these...
If you have a comment, then it is generally better form to make a fresh thread, in the proper area, than it is to re-start a thread, six months dormant.

Adios,
