Want a smooth barrel...on the outside!

I have been thinking about a few cosmetic changes to my .45 OMV's. Grips and stuff is easy, but I was wondering about getting rid of the "safety paragraph".

If you have done this, how about details. Did you do it yourself? If so, how? Did you change out the barrel? Did you have a professional do it?

Doc, See the Vaquero vs. Cattleman thread. Will Dearborn tells you how to do it on a stainless model. I ordered my New Model Vaquero in stainless last week. Should be here Tusesday. Will decide then if I want to remove the Safety Message. I do like the idea of making the shine duller.

The safety paragraph is hidden under the barrel now.

The New Vaquero came in today. I'm not sure I even like the warning message on the bottom of the barrel, but it is not as obnoxious and obvious as where it used to be. I probably leave it alone. Can't wait to get out and drop the hammer on some holy black. Gee I haven't thought about a load. Guess I'd better get some boollits, a set of dies and start loading. Probably have to shoot some smokless if I want to shoot right away.
