Pocket Pistol - Pietta - who shoots ?

Hi Pards, . . . any of ya shoot the Pietta Remington .31 cal. "pocket pistol" ? How much does that .31 cal. ball weigh ? . . . how many grains of 3f can ya push it with ? . . and any other comments or thoughts ya have about 'em are welcome. Thinkin' strongly of buying one when I get my tax refund. Gotta do something FUN for ME with at least some of it !

I had one with a brass frame. The little .31 cal ball is tiny. It was accurate, but I had alot of misfires. When you get it in the mail...you will be surprised how tiny it is. Mine had a real heavy hammer that I lightened to make usable. I added antler grips (homemade) to make it easier to hold.

I had one of those .31 pocket pistols some years back & wasn't pleased with it. It misfired a lot as well & I found it hard to find the ammo for it.

I have an original, but it has a penchant for 32 short colt ammo (conversion to centerfire). I do have some of those 31 cal roundballs and wads, if you pick one up let me know!

Got mine from Cabela's a few years ago. Mine worked well out of the box. Use CCI #11 caps about 10 gr FFF & .321 ball.
Everything on the pistol is miniature compared to a holster-sized gun. Takes some getting used to. Mine is reliable and reasonably accurate. No problem hitting steel at 10-20 yds. However, It shot high and I installed a taller front sight.
