The word on another forum is $1895.00.   No, that is not a typo!  If that is the case, I waited a long time for something I will not get!

That was quoted for the 1875 Model. Nothing known for the '58.

On the SASS Wire, Sixgun Shorty indicated he was told the pricing would be the same for both Remingtons.

They need to come out with the prices ..I`ve heard enough on what the price might be ..If what we are hearing through the grape vine is right ...I won`t pay that for a cap and ball pistol ...My wait will END !  :'(

Tubac

Yeah but how long ago did you buy your 75?

These are absurd prices.  A patient and frugal shopper could get a pair of Uberti 75s and a real nice 73 for that price - and still have money to have them tarted up a bit.

Tubac

Deadeye,

I bought it in 2004. I must have got a better deal than I thought. ;D

I'm done berating the price for now. Let the market decide. I spoke w/ Sixgun Shorty yesterday and he said something that gave me pause as it is from his perspective as a dealer. That is that not all Old West gun sales are to CAS members. He sells a LOT of Colt SAA's to people who just simply want a Colt. He also told me that he personally examined the '75 Remington by USFA (which was at the Remington booth) and said it was absolute perfection and locked up like a bank vault door.  :P  I say bring it on and let the market decide. That's free enterprise. If no one buys them then the price will go down for liquidation or it may not. You have to admit however that it took a lof of guts to do this project.  ;)

I actually havent decided if I will buy one or not.  Sixgun Shorty offered me one for full retail price and 50 percent down.   :o
I am having my FFL check on prices once Gary Granger gets back from the Shot show and clears out his voice mail box.

Does it come in a wooden presentation display case?

For that price it ought to come with a gun bearer!
