Approximately how many USFA guns have been made since the early 1990s?  Just curious to find out.

Were the early 90s the start of USFA production?  That would be interesting to know.  It would also be interesting to know current average monthly production numbers.

I think they formed the company in 1993-94 and may have started the partial Italian parts guns in 1995.  I'm dying to know how many guns they have actually made since then.

Well, I have a sampling of Premium SAA.  I have serial numbers from 231XX in 2004 to 256XX in 2006.  That is just standard production in Premiums.  Throw in all of the other models, that is a good number for guns of the quality we see from USFA.

Would you say that in that period, based on the serial numbers,  they make about 12,500 guns per year in a two year period?  If so, that is a nice market share.  I wonder how that compares to the competition.

Twelve thousand or twelve hundred? Are those production numbers 25,600 - 23,500 = 2100?

Or are they dropping a decimal place out?

Hey VG,

With respect, your calculation needs adjusted.  25,600-23,100=2,500, or approximately 1,250 per year.  Now understand, this is only the premium model.  ADD the Rodeos in three series, Gunslingers, Lightning Rifles, Bisleys, Inspector Series, and Special Serial Orders that are using different serial ranges, that adds up to alot more than 1,250 per year.  Now include 1911, Cowboys, and a few others, I would say USFA is becoming a strong firearm manufacturer in Hartford.
