Loading some very light loads to start shouting my 1876 built 1876 in 45/75.
Hasn't been shot since 1972. A 26" Octagon, set trigger and long range sight.

Here is SN 1270, an 1878 vintage open top first model.  Some nice extras on this beauty.  Deluxe checkered wood, set trigger, case hardened.  It's a .45-75 as that was the only cartridge available when it was made. Shown with original loading tools, silver dollars, knife and box of ammunition.

Of course we don't have Winchester shipping records, but I wonder if someone ordered this for themself or as a gift.  It's been used but not abused.  Bore is surprisingly good.

I like it and and the caliber to boot. When you think about it or have tried to hang one on a saddle, one can appreciate the beast and the firepower it has.
