In the recent issue of Man at Arms for the Gun Collector magazine, its states that according to Roy Marcot of the Remington Society, a new company has been established to fabricate and market exact copies of classic Remington revolvers.  A subsidiary of the US Repeating Arms Company, the new company will be called E. Remington & Sons.  Reportedly, the first two revolvers will be the New Model Army and the Remington Model 1875, which will appear in 2008 Remington catalog.

Well, what in the world does that mean I am not sure.  Does anyone have more info on what is going on?  Who do we call to order them if they are the ones USFA is making?

I knew they set up a different company. That may be for tax purposes. I have trepidations about Remington marketing the revolvers as their Custom Shop Rolling Block marketing was/is a joke. They made a feeble attempt to break into the BPCR market which was rebuffed due to the poor fit & finish of their rifles. Remington had a golden opportunity there but I guess selling Model 700's was more important.    Remington has a new owner since last Spring and let's hope they market it correctly. Personally, I do not know why Remington wants to mess with the marketing if this is the case. USFA does a fine job and since CAS is probably a great part of their business I would let them handle it.
