Backstrap engraving

I am wanting to get the backstrap of my EAA Bounty Hunter (case hardened) and my stainless Ruger done as reasonable as possible and I am needing the names of engravers that do this.  Hope someone can help me out.

You can google up Jim Downing The gun engraver for some fine work.  He also posts his schedule on the site, and ya might catch him at a regional and get em done on the spot.

there are others, but for my money none better, and a lot are poorer.

Jim Downing will be at the NCOWS Convention, Feb 15 [Noon to 5 pm], 16 [9a - 5p] & 17 [9a - 3p] and can do it for you right there.  The Convention will be at the Reardon Convention Center in Kansas City Kansas.  There will be vendors for all sorts of CAS and Victorian era items there too.  Seminars for the guys and the gals.  Saturday night banquet will include a Victorian Ball!   Bring yer dancing shoes. [Spurs not recommended! ]

Jim did mine at the 2007 Mason-Dixon Stampede, great job, great price $55 backstrap and $20 bottom strap dropped them at the booth Sat. eve picked them up Sunday before awards.  JB

Jim Downing does great work and reasonable too. He has done several backstraps for me as well as the side plates on my 73. Next up is the dust cover on my 73. Work up your own design for your backstraps or use one of his designs.
