Howdy to the camp,

walt is collaborating with Alcemista (Allessandro Pietta) to re-introduce the Kirst .32 S&W Konverter as a true "drop in" for the 1863s.  The 1863s will be specially monitored for quality control.  I will keep you posted.  I will be getting the first one to try. ;D

BTW, February and March CC articles are a 2 part article I wrote about Walt and his Konverters.

Thanks for the heads up. I also hear he is working on a Walker drop-in.

What were the issues with the pocket pistols?  Mine has more end play than I would like, but works.  Curious to know if I should plan on getting a new one.

Thanks

According to what Walt told me recently, he said he did make a small run of them awhile ago , but found the internals were too inconsistent to allow anything close to a drop in. The first attempt produced a great little conversion pocket pistol but you had to do lots of work on the internals of some of them. That's about 2 years ago.

As TL stated , Walt is collaborating with Allessandro Pietta. He told him that they have been systematically improving quality of their product lines; the next production run of '63 Steel Frame will be produced under much stricter process control. Walt is waiting for the first arrival of the latest 1863s from Pietta, so he can make the revisions necessary and produce the Remington Pocket Konverter in 5-shot, .32 S&W.

That'll be great !  ;D

It would be a gun little belly gun. I had one in brass, but wasn't very pleasing. It came with stripped threads and wouldn't consistantly fire. I assume the steel frame is better.

If it can be thrown and hit a man at 10 ft ..it`s a good pocket pistol .. ;D
