I just bought a Cimarron Thunderer .45 LC.  Can't wait to shoot it.  I know its not historically accurate but it is cool.  It has checkered grips, can't tell what the material is.  I want to get some fake ivory grips so its similar to the guns Val Kilmer used as Doc Holliday.

Ah yes, the Thunderer.   Mine is a 3 1/2" model in 44 Spcl.  Some folks love the grip and some folks hate it.  I love it.  In fact I love it so much I put Thunderer grips on a pair of conversions.

Several places make faux Ivory grips for the Thunderer.  But if you want top-notch fake ivory that really looks like the real thing, send your grip frame to Bar-S Grips ( http://www.truivory.com/ ) - they are a little pricey but you will have a great looking grip that fits perfectly.
