An aside, as opposed to something that might be related to DD Oz's original item:  my son, a newly minted teacher, was regaling me with some facts about the english language; said, in a nutshell, that it is the most complicated language in the world - even moreso than chinese or any of the other oriental languages that I think are so tough to grasp; it's not only the punctuation and structure of use, but that there are almost, or more than twice as many words in it, and more that may be spelled the same but have several different meanings, depending on context.

Gee!  Maybe us englisch speakers ain't so dumb, after all.
