ROA Discontinued

I read that this model is no longer available > Ruger OLD ARMY, 5-1/2 bl,.45Cal., Black Powder, BLUED, FIXED SIGHT, Wood Grips.

Can anyone confirm this?

I called Ruger at Prescott and at Newport and they're both in a Holiday shut down until January 2nd.  I'll check with their products departments and get back to you around the second or third.

    Bad enough that they went and totally screwed up the Vaquero, no need to discontinue all the decent single actions. I dunno WTH I'm gonna do for all purpose single actions now. Not gonna spend the money for a grossly overpriced Colt or for a Freedom Arms, but I'm not gonna give anymore money to a company that has abandoned the people that have relied on them for so long.

    If I wanted a sub standard revolver that wouldn't take heavy loads, I'd have bought an import.

    I have one. I'm not a fan. Too modern looking for me. Oddly, though, I like S&W DA's.

I asked at the SHOT show today and if the guy knew what he was talking about, all the Old Army's are gone.  Just didn't sell enough was what I was told.
Too bad.

        I just got my new Master catalog #31 from Midway USA, and they show all models of the Ruger Old Army, looks like the prices may have gone up a little , but o well , at least they say they have them , I just called them and they say they are temperaly out of product, but they expect a new shipment soon. so who knows .
