This thread started as something else that led to a more interesting idea.  USFA EAGLE GRIPS.  We Want them badly.

Dear Mr. Banjoman, aka Gary Granger,

We here at the USFA Collectors & Shooters of America wish to respectfully request that USFA make USFA EAGLE GRIPS.  Here's hoping!  Nothing ventured nothing gained.

That's because NCOWS, like USFA, is special. Whereas SASS is a "shoot your own game" organization, NCOWS is an elite organization that prides itself on authenticity just as USFA does.  ;D :D ;)

Kinda Sudden

I was just looking at another thread on NCOWS where USFA built a Premium SAA using the NCOWS member numbers as serial numbers.

My idea is having USFA build a SAA using a special number for us unofficial USFA collectors and shooters, like our USFA CSS member number.  I had thought about using our SASS member number, but I have a feeling since SASS has a deal with Colt, that might not be possible.

What do you all think?  There are 160 of us now!

Sounds great. Maybe a Prewar with fire blue appointments and real Ivory? ;D

I thnk a prewar with a 5.5 inch barrel with fire blue appointments and "US" logo and eagle black plastic grips.  I would also like to see the barrel have a roll marked "US" and US Firearms CSS Edition put on the left side of the barrel.  I'd also like to see a "US" logo on the frame or back strap somewhere.

Virginia Gentleman,

The response does not even come close to warrant asking USFA for a special gun.  However, the US "Eagle" grips do seem to have a potential following.  I think we should keep up the pressure on that idea!

Virginia Gentleman

Yes, we should and hopefully membership and demand will rise.

Yep! And "Colt dress" be damned. We can use a different eagle, like this:

I like the "Federalist Eagle" that you posted.  This would keep the pinhead lawyers at Colt from trying to sue I would think.  Like I said before, USFA could offer them as an option and mark'em up like heck just to make us quit nagg'in and staying really happy with such a great outfit.  ;D
