LEO, Texans take the Battle of the Alamo serious, it's an important part of our history.  It's important to me because I am a native born Texan and the fact that a lot of the men at the Alamo were Masons.  The Grand Lodge of Texas erected a bronze plaque honoring the Masons that fought there.  Arcey, even though Moses Austin lived in Virginia before he went to Texas, he was actually born in Connecticut.  Arcey, both of my GG Grandfathers on my mother's side were members of the Army of Northern Virginia.  Both of them were buried in their CSA uniforms.

Sorry Tex (don't care what John Wayne said, pologies er due now an then).  Hit a sore spot on ya.

I didn't know the Masons had anythin ta do out in Texas.  If you're a member, I'm sure you know alot of history alot of us don't.  You guys keep everythin so secret.  (but i'd love ta be one just ta know them secrets)

Any native American language would be a nice language ta learn.  Heck, Navaho speak was very important in WWII.  Then again, if everyone knew it, it wouldn'ta done much good

Arcey,  We still got the Texas down by Houston, near the battlefield at San Jacinto, where Santa Anna was captured and the War for Texas Independence was won.  It served in both World Wars.  They was folks from all over at the Alamo, including some folks from Ireland and Scotland. Everyone came to Texas for the land and to be free.  Just like Davy Crockett said "You can go to Hell, I'm going to Texas.

I have been a Mason since 1973, the Grand Lodge of Virgina was chartered in 1778, but 9 lodges had been meeting on Virginia soil since the early 1700s or before.

I've never been one ta judge my own character, I leave that ta others and listen ta what they have ta say about me.  Some of em can jump off a cliff an some say things that stay in my memory forever having a direct effect on my future actions.

LR, It's Mud-slinging, just a part of this mess we laughingly refer to as POLITICS.  I started learning Spanish at an early age. Unfortunately, most of those words were "cuss" words.
