I went to bed for a nap and woke up to find the race on. I have missed about 18 laps. They just had a bad wreck, Little E, Mears, Hornish. Mears on his top and fire breaks out. Fast work by the Rescue guys. Everybody seems to be okay.

Hey, Edwards won the Sprint Cup race, followed by JJ and Wonder Wimp. Smoke won the Nationwise in a Toyota.

But, damn. Stewart just put an ass whippin' on 'em in the NNS race. Think he could have won by a lap if he'd wanted to. Said he just rode off from 'em a l'il bit then watched 'em wear their stuff out tryin' ta catch him. That freakin' JGR Camry is strong. Two in a row.

problem is he keeps launchin' them zodiac boats, and they don't preform well in that red dirt

Them zodiak boats ain't much good for fishin'. It's hard to mount a trolling motor and I'm afraid of sticking a hook it and lettin out all the air.

Alright ya'll landlubbers and sand peeps - time to deploy and get some of them rum and cigar runners.

Got me these new fangled engine ships, nothing like a good sail, but dang these things go pretty fast and thar sure dang easy to pull into the pier with.

Got me some of these new fangled cartridge guns too - 50-70 Remington rolling blacks, a couple spencers and some SW #3 revolvers them dang scummy smugglers won't know what hit them.

Coal burners er turnin' the harbor inta rail yards. Ain't no beauty ner grace there na'more. Merchantmen sailin' in quietly in with the aroma of teas, coffees 'n spices gettin' shoved away by iron smoke belchers stinkin' up the place 'n foulin' the view.

Cap'n 'n crews not in it fer the adventure ah takin' on the sea. Just in it fer the money. Fine 'n honorable sailors pullin' sheet 'n adjustin' sail replaced by coal miners shovlin' coal. Men hired 'n confined below ta feed the boilers instead of bein' on deck in the weather, tastin' the salt 'n cooled by the spray.

Whut'er we comin' to, Cap'n?

Iron coal burners will be the death ah me yet.

Was busy talkin to a feller named Jean LeFeat. Had ta end the conversation--he was white as a ghost.

Ceegars? Tips dipped in rum I'll guess. Would be a great way to end a night around the fire.

After running down their first smuggler, bos'n Irish gathers tha crew and passes out Cuban ceegars n bottles a rum.

"Cap'n Poney sed we gots to get rid a this here con-tree-banned. Drink n smoke em up lads!"

Several hours later Irish weeves through tha crew laying on the deck n staggers up to tha wheelhouse. He salutes, almost knocking hisself down n reports, "Cap'n tha con-treeeeeeee-bannnned is been destray, uh detroy, uh detrained, uh we gots rid of it sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirrrrr!
