Howdy Pards,

As we come up on the holiday season, I find myself under the gun to get so many things done that I don't have as much time as I should to ride the herd and keep an eye on what's going on here. And frankly I note that I have little need to do so, given the quality of you pards! The Darksiders Den is coming up on it's third year as a forum and it has become more than I ever expected it to be! I just took a look around the web at other CAS/blackpowder forums and what I saw made me very proud of The Den and it's posters! Other forums seem to be either dominated by just a couple of posters, or not very active at all. Not so here, lots of posters, lots of information, and lots of fun. To my eyes The Den is probably the most friendly place for BP/CAS enthusiasts in cyberspace, and it has the best sources of information too. This is, of course, entirely because of YOU!!! You pards are what has made this place what it is and I just wanted to take a moment to tell you how proud I am of having you here, helping others and sharing good times and good information, and to to tell you THANK YOU!!! You are the greatest Cowboys anywhere!

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, and a Happy New Year. (a bit early, but I don' know when I'm gonna have time in the next couple of weeks to do much writing)

I think a big difference is you can ask for all the postings for a particular forum to be automatically be sent i.e. I like the BP & SCORRS forums to be automatically sent. I used to post on the SASS Wire alot but had to log in and check to see what is going on. Besides, that forum is actually too busy to have all postings sent you'd be flooded. This one's just right in size. There's enough to keep it just so but not too so.

This is the finest wire going.  It's that because there's not a lot of anger here.  Only pards chatting with pards and helping where they can.  The Darkside Attitude is that of true and genuine respect.  I hope that this is the way things continue in 2008!!

I think there was only one shoot where we both attended this year Cuts .  That was the Cops vs. Cowboys at Goddard.  Sorry I didn't have time to stick around and talk after the shoot.

Merry Christmas to you too Cuts!!! And to everyone else that rides the trail on this forum. As a new guy to this sport/hobby/addiction, I can say that any question I have asked has been answered in a very respectful and helpful manner. You don't find that everywhere you go!! You guys have made alot of my decisions easier by sharing your wisdom and knowledge. Thank you for being so willing to lend a hand. Someone(Arcey) once told me that you won't find a better group of people than in the CAS community. I am happy to say, he is right.
