Most Americans will remember that today is the anneversary of the Jap's sneak attack on Pearl Harbour. What many won't remember is that today is also the 145th anneversary of the Battle of Prairie Grove Arkansas.

My Great Great Grandfather Webster Marshal Spencer was wounded there. He was hit in the right chest by a Confederate minnie ball. The bullet glanced off his ribcage, traveled along the ribs, under the flesh and exited the middle of his back giving the appearance of traveling directly through him. He had just enlisted on August 7 of 1862 and was discharged on disability on January 27 1863. The wound healed but bothered him the rest of his life.
