Anyone out there making the Nickle Steel spurs that were adopted just prior to the 1st World War?

The replica spurs seem to stop with the Model 1885.

Original-issue spurs are available - with ones marked 'A.B.' being perhaps the most common.

Those were made by August Buermann, and he made a helluva lot of them.

Prices for originals vary - depending on what the seller thinks he has.

Original spur straps are also available - they're marked 'US' - but by this stage of the game, they're usable as patterns only, since most are a bit too dry for service use.

There's a top strap and a bottom strap - and Officers used spur chains, as well.

Howdy,

They regularly appear on eBay in the Militaria - WWI listings.  As others have said, the usually are not very expensive.  Some have straps and most don't.
