need your help i just picked up an old  lyman 450 bullet sizer ,luber   i need to no how to fill grease chamber , any hints or info on this press ,will be a great help thank you

Arcey

In top of the press you should find a screw.  When the press was new it was sold with a small ratchet fitting that screw.  If you don't have that, find a ¼" drive socket to fit it.  I don't remember what size.

The screw runs thru the press and drives a piston that forces lube thru the die and into the lube grooves of the bullet.  The screw runs thru a cap on top of the press.

Take that cap off (just pull it) and turn the screw until the piston comes out of the press.  Drop your lube in then screw the piston back in and replace the cap.  Piece of cake.

Hell-Er High Water

Johns,

If you haven't got it figured out yet, go to the Lyman website, www.lymanproducts.com, and click on the heading "Casting."

Scroll down until you get to the information on their "New" 4500 lube/sizer.  Under that there is a box "Instruction Click Here".  In these instructions there is a description with drawings on all operations of the lube/sizer.

All the 4500 model is, is a newer version of the 450.  Basic operations of both are the same.

Hope that this helps.
