I'm only repeating the term used by the tow truck guy.  The part that broke is similar to a tie rod only it's the rear tire so it's not called a tie rod.  When I showed to to the tow guy he called it a rocker arm.  Guess he was full of it.  ::)

I know very little about cars.  That's why I have a trustworthy machanic.  ;D  He's saved me big money because he always calls with options before he does the work.  For example.  The blower on our van stopped working on speeds 1, 2, 3, and 4.  Now it has 5 or off.  If it was just the resistor the part is $40.  It turned out to be the entire unit.  No after market available and the new unit is $300 plus $40 for the resistor.  He called and told me the bill would be $500 for parts and labour.  I did not have the money.  He put it all back together.  $0.  Other local garages would have charged the $75/hour labor just for diagnosis.

I dated a girl who thought that the AC or Heat had only those two positions.  I hardly ever use anything above two and when I'd get in her car I would be blown into the back seat. ;D

Glad you got a good mechanic!  I try not to go to them any more than I have to.  They're like docs.  They always want you to spend some money. ::)

Thinkin' the Major, you 'n me live in the same place, Angel.

Prolly a suspension part separated on Stoney's car. Happens. Cheap factory tie rod ends on my last F-150 were worn to nothin' at less than 50,000 miles. The OEM replacement stuff from Advance did fall apart, literally.

Ya don't listen ta a wrecker driver when it comes to diagnosis. If they were a knowledgeable mechanic, opps, 'skooze me, 'Tech', they wouldn't be drivin' a wrecker.

Yeah, "Techs"... let's get that straight. :D

Howdy, pards. I just got in. I tied earlier but had problems and then had to log off and go somewhere. Tried then again later on but had to log off and head out again. Sounds like the forum was having problems, too.

Our guests are leaving tomorrow early. More accurately, I get to run them up to the San Francisco airport at 3:30 so they can catch a plane. I don't envy them at all, they leave at 8:00am here and arrive in Amsterdam at 7:00 in the morning. That's almost a day and a half enroute. Then I need to do some inspections on the way home and after we get back. I may still be scarce tomorrow, too. OK, I suppose I should go get some rest. Asta, pards.

Marshal Will, that's 7:00 AM Amsterdam time.  They are either GMT or GMT+1.  The flight won't be that terribly long, but their bodies will be thinking it's still time to be in bed. ;D

I've hit a couple hiccups tonight, but besides that everything's workin' fine.

OK, I guess I threw in an extra few hours, there. They will be 5 1/2 hours from here to DC and then 8 1/2 to Amsterdam plus the changeover time in DC. They'll be about 16 hours enroute plus customs at the end. They'll be home in time to eat breakfast.

Well there ain't no Jingle Bob's sold at any of em.  They're mail order catalogue.  All but King Size is for women so your other halves may know the names.  One Plus and Woman Within (fka Lane Bryant) are for women with more to love.  The metrostyle (fka Lerner), chadwick's and jessica london are for the rest.  I just print the reports so I really don't have much to do with that side of the business.

Like I said, if your interested I'll PM the codes.

I've been thru that airport twice. The first time was about 1994. Had a conference in San Fran. The second time was about 2002. Visited a branch office in Hayward.

'Tis 10, sunny and blustery. High of 24. I think winter has arrived.  ::)

BTW, my bell's clapper fell off last night. I don't know if I have a ladder long enough to reach to but if back on.
