Most of ya know I never did nuthin' with a com-pewter till early 2004 when one appeared on my desk at work and I got a quick how to look up product and was told it was hooked up to the Net and I could use it if I didn't abuse it and of course to keep an eye on the CAs boards cause them folks were our customers.  One appeared at home a bit later.

Had a problem with it one time, the guy that was floor amanger that night came up to help, nice fella, still a good friend but he liked to pick on the old man. ;D  He showed me what I needed to know and kidded me about it.  Said I did know a bit about them said they were made of "chips' he said yeah.  Told him chips were just millions of transistors on one piece of silly-cone, he said yeah.  Asked him if he knew how a transistor worked, nope.  got out my pencil stub and a piece of paper and drawed him a ski-matic and 'splained it to him.  I then asked him if he wanted vacuum tubes explained. ;D

Thanks for the CAWFEE.

I went to bed at 2230 cuz the alarm was going off at 0430 not matter how much sleep, or lack there of, I had.  Was real glad to see the boys pull out the win.  I'm glad this one was close.  It will teach them that ANY team can win on ANY Sunday.  Maybe they will come more prepared. ::)

I'm back in my cube.  I liked last week better.

Morning thenks for the Coffee, 10zzzz.  Been up awhile, but not because I wanted to.   Seems a young 4 legged critter, hadn't seen enough of it's human this past few days.   enny y'll want a shaggy mutt?  It has more energy at 0630 than I do. Then before I could post I had to fix the tray the keyboard sits on, (the extend of my IT knowledge) now the $#@& mutt is trying to drag my 3 cell maglight off and my hammer ::)

Thanks for the Cawfee/coffee ;D
It's 40 and really wet here. Nanny, nanny, boo, boo, I've got a four day week here, don't go back until tomorrow :P
I can still remember the tube testers, my first tape recorder was reel to reel, about the size of the old 45 record players. the second one was somewhat bigger, made by Panasonic, also a reel to reel. Those newer flat screen HD's are coming down in price, but not enough for me to even think about it yet.................Buck 8) ::) ;)
I might be slow, but I'm mostly accurate.....

....was. Turnt it 'round 'n brought it home in one piece.

Rooster, I dunno. Never been in the market. See a bunch at the shows.

The small LED I bought 'bout a year ago is really nice. Brighter than any of the Mags I've had 'n still have (think I have five). It carries three AAA batteries, just changed 'em a couple weeks ago for the first time 'n I use it a lot. If  I were in the market I'd go with that technology.

LED is what I am looking for I didn't realize they were so many of them on the market.  The one you have sounds like what I need. Don't want one too big. Don't need a pressure switch type

Got this one from an ole white haired gal whut runs the shows. She's had a table at the last three I've been to. She had 'em eight a piece, three for twenty. I got three, silver for my kid to match her Civic, a red one to match Susie's Solara 'n a black one for me. At Scope, she had a competitor 'n they were goin' fer five each.

There's no brand name on it. It's well done in billet aluminum. Six bulbs. Sealed switch. Gaskets at each joint. Measures 3 ¾ by 1. I'd guess its Chinese or Korean. The only thing I see I don't like is the foil/cardboard reflector. I loaned it to one of the HVAC installers 'n it knocked his socks off. Hard as he werked I shouldah give it to 'im.

Mag offers 'em now. If I were in a professional position I'd look at theirs first. Mags are kindah the Glock of flashlights.

LOL I have several of them Mag lights also, big and little ones. These LED lights seem brighter.  Surefire wants $80 for there's don't seem hardly worth it, knowing adventually you'll lose it before you break it.  Don't mine paying a little extra for being stout, but thought that was a little too much.
