No fancy Thanksgiving Dinner for Delmonico and Rowdy, we're goin' huntin' all day.  Now that and not havin' to go to Sil and Bil's is something to be thankful for.  Any one who would rater have Hostess Brown and Serve Rolls cause that is what Mom had instead of one of my loads of wheat, white and rye dinner rolls don't deserve my company. ::)

all that walking he done, he's probably all legs.  ;D

our fieldman was by this morning, he said the plant had processed 2.4 million pounds more turkey so far this fresh season than they had at this time last year.

Del, years ago we used to quail hunt a lot,  we've spent more than one Thanksgiving out following them dogs. ;D

Years ago when the Uncles were all younger and we all got together, we always went out in the afternoon hunting.  They are talking about high 30's some wind and maybe snow flurries tommorow anf Thurs.  I have all day off tommorow also.  Weather should be just right to get the Chinese Chickens to hold nice, perfect for a young dog in training.

I've talked to a lot of guys over the years who had mighty fine pointers, but had never been around them danged things.  Drove em nuts cause they don't play fair and hold, a good pheasant dog tries to trap the bird between him and the hunter, drives some guys crazy though to have a bird flush and come strait at them and then over them, that one is almost a gimme for me.  I've had a lot of practice on them.  BTW all the BS you read in the gun mags and huntin' shows about how tough they are and how hard they are to kill is BS.  Just hit them good and they come right down and stay there.

The dog see's the VET because she has better insurance than I do.... Came home Plummer was here.  He said he never heard of this call till this morning.  It's not really off the beaten Path, phone company cable companies and plummers and the like don't want you to go somewhere else so they say they'll be right out.  Then they look for excuses for not showing up.

The dawg didn't care for the plummer or the Vet as far as that goes.

Stoney I hope the fridge and God are on my side also......no matter what I choose to pack.

That's the sad fact of the times.  Don't worry.  The way Vets are going up in price and all the new and wonderful meds that they are coming up with for pets these days, it won't be long before their bills are as high as ours.  Did I ever tell y'all my sister's cat had to have a knee replacement?  Her question to the vet: "Cats have knees?"

Stoney Pete, C&H are great.  I fully agree with Calvin regarding veggies... and I love his snowmen! ;D

If it can't be nice, eaten, make money, create comfort or provide real pleasure.........kill it or trade it in on new one!

Got back from Junction about 5:45 pm. Still cannot get the VPN to work thru the DSL router.  >:(

My parents got here at 7 pm. I'm on my mother's laptop. The wireless is working fine on it. The wireless adapter must be a lot better than the one in my PC.

I've been using my router for a few years with the wireless function disabled. I was going to configure it for wireless to use my wife's laptop and I can't remember the darn password! I always write it down somewhere safe. Too safe, in this case. Sheesh. ??? I'll probably wind up buying a new router. :(

You could always set it back the the factory defaults.

Yeah, but it's an older Linksys, just old enough that it will be noticably slower on wireless. If I'm going to have to re-configure anything, I'll just start with a new one and be done with it. We can hook up with a hard line but people coming to visit will be limited. It's borderline whether it's worth the trouble. It was given to me free by my sister's 8th husband ( :o ) so I really haven't anything invested. If I get a new one, I'll put all the machines on wireless. maybe go wireless on the keyboards, too. The mouse, well, that's a different matter because the mouse I like isn't available wireless and there isn't anything remotely similar. Thanks for the suggestion, though.
