Mornin' got coffee on here, a bit foggy, but not bad, just can't see beyound a 1/2 mile out.

I can't even get any horse shoers to leave me cards any mor, good bad or indifferent.  They is all so busy they don't want any more to do.  Got to many horses around Lincoln, most don't need shoed to be rode once or so a month on soft ground, cause we don't have  a lot of rock.  But these 5 acres and a horse folks want them shoed so they keep a big bunch of them busy.  Oh well the wholesale house in Gretna gets the bulk of the bizzness, I get the I need it quick stuff, the farriers make a kiving and were all happy.

Course half or more of the shoes I sell get welded together for decoration type items, but I don't give a durn, don't even care of folks buy them to make soup with or to do kinky things in the bedroom with, although Tack gets more of that bizzness. ;D

Howdy, pards. Thanks for the coffee, LR.

We had rain all night. I like to sleep with it pounding down on the roof. It's stopped now but still cloudy. It may clear up this afternoon.

I have hat hangers I made from them. I'm wiser than to try shoeing horses. Have a friend who does that. He's welcome to it.

I jammed one of the Desperado .454 bullets in an empty, sized case to see how much squishing I'd get. After popping the bullet out, it measured .453, plus or minus. I need to figure out how to neck-size my cases to .452. The Dillon die is .448, too tight for the softer bullets.

Will, just load some up that way and try them, should work fine, the nice thing is soft bullets bump up and down real easy, one of the beuties of them.

I hadn't thought about that much. I'll try some. Thanks for the tip.

I'm new to the lead bullets. Kind of a blank canvass here. :D

Marshal Will, if you have a .45acp die set try measuring the expander plug on that, It may be the correct size for what you want and if it's the same brand of die set will interchange

The expander die is the same for both 45 ACP and 45 Colt. I called Dillon and they agreed that there isn't a bigger one. Thanks for the input, though. What Dillon suggested was to take mine down to a machine shop and have one made to the right size. I don't think it's worth what I'd have to pay to have that done.

Got the press set just right for that. I just loaded up 10 of the Desperado bullets and put them in the box with my 10 Big Lube test loads and the 10 Bear Creek .452's for a comparison load. I have two more samples to load up when the bullets arrive, then I'll shoot all of them at the same time.

I've been reloading for 30 years and this is the first time I've done softer bullets. I'm enjoying learning something new, here

OK, just sold 4 horse shoes, (00 Diamond Saddle Lite) guy want to know if the nails came with them, when I told him no, he counted and said 8 holes per shoe, guess I need 32.  Sold him a box of 100, gawd I hope the horse survives. ::)

OK, I was wrong I just talked to my cousin. $4800 to bail the dog out today and probably a good portion of that more before they're done.  :o

I've been speaking that language for the past fifteen or so years. ;D   OH!  You're tawlkin' 'bout computers, ain' ya?

I went today to shoot with the Thornfield Rangers and had a great time.  I don't know why, but I always thought that they were further away, but it only took me a little over an hour to get there (including taking a couple wrong turns. ::)).  I forgot to time my return trip, but I'm guessing it should take no more than fifty minutes or so.  Driving back home was terrible.  I was sooooooooo tired.  Luckily, I made it home without killing myself or anyone else, shucked my duds and fell into the bed.

I was up late last night and really thought about not getting up this morning, but I finally forced myself to get up.  I do so much better if there is someone else to wake me up or relying on me to do something.  If it's just me, I'll usually forgo in exchange for more sleep. ::) ;D
