I see they are back ordered on Midway, but, I am still looking at picking one up at some time.

Anyone have any comments on these?

How about the R&D units for the 1860 colts? (Pietta)

Nice easy smokeless loads from these during winter months when we are forced to shoot inside where I live, is appealing.

I have the RandD for my Walker as well as all of my other percussion revolvers.  The 45 colt in the Walker works really well.  I was dissapointed they  didnt put the historical scene on the conversion cylinder, but otherwise the cylinder works great.  I have found the Walker with the conversion cylinder to be highly accurate.  It is almost like shooting a rifle with regards to accuracy.  I also have the 1860 army made by Uberti.  It also works great and does have the correct battle scene on the cylinder.  It is also in 45 colt.

DW... I put one on my 2nd Gen Colt 1860 ... it is a BLAST to shoot...
I actually get better POA with 45 Sch. in it than with C&B.
I have shot one in a Walker (not mine, darn it ! )with 45 LC's ( 45 LC's work in my 60 also ) and it was balls on....

I was talking to Walt Kirst a couple days ago.  He is cogitating on making one for the Walker also.  I use his on my 58 Remmie.

Good grief!!!

my cylinder is back ordered until JANUARY!!!

I was hoping to take it to the range next month.

DW,   That is a long time to wait for them to come in.  You might try Fall Creek Sutlery to see if they have any in stock.

Also,  do you know if the RandD Walker cylinders have the battle scene engraved on the cylinder yet?
