The hot weather finally broke here in the South ..So I took Henry out for some range time last weekend , all I can say is this Henry is sweet ! If the rifles built by Henry hisself were anywhere near as nice as mine , the lucky cowboys that owned them , might not have had the biggest bullets but they sure had a rifle that would hit what ya aim at ...many times ....There just isn`t anything about Henry I don`t like ... ;D

Your right everyone will want one ...I let my neighbor shoot mine , he went the next week and put one on layaway at Sportsmans Warehouse ...  There is one thing I don`t like about Henry ........I`m spending way too much time reloading because of him wife feels like a Henry widow . ;)

Well I've got mine and now she's a 44 Henry Flat. Still shoots as good as she did when she was a 45LC. Right now she shoots the 44 Rem/Colt C.F. Cartridge with a modified(read Flattened) nose, but soon she'll be sporting 44 Henry Flat C.F.(44 Russian brass with the Old West Moulds heeled bullet w/modified nose.

Just have to rework the angle on the carrier (and buy some 44 Russian cases)....then she'll hold the original 15 rounds! this round closely approximates the old 44 Henry Flat C. F. without having to pay $1.10 each for 44 Henry Brass from Buffalo Arms. Bernie at Old West Moulds will make me a crimper for this cartridge. All three of my original conversions(2 Remy's and 1 Rogers and Spencer will shoot the same cartridge as well. The conversions shoot the 44 Rem/Colt C.F. as well.

I've just shot the R &S 6 shots since I converted it to C.F. Just to see if my gun smithing job was a good one. She fired each time like it was made like that. Good on me.  Cylinder is flat on the back so she'll chamber 44 Rem/Colt(what Ii shot in her), 44 Spcl, 44 mag and 44 Russian Brass, all with the 248 Grn Old West Mould Remm/Colt Heeled bullet and the Old West Moulds 210 Grn Heeled bullet(in the 44 Mag brass to fit inside the chamber mouths of the R & S). I have figured out that this R & S was chambered for 46 R.F instead of 44 Henry, as the chambers were too big in Dia for the Henry cartridge, but just fine for the 46 Rem. C.F.

Take the Henry with you and say your're a LATE MT Man...LOL!

Sundance, ye the 60 Henry is a shooter.  The only negative I can fault with the rifle is the slipping slider on the ladder sight.  I drilled and tapped in a set screw on mine to keep the sight settings when using it for long range lever action matches (45 Colt)
