Well, I personally think it would be better pit-roasted, Delmonico, but I'll defer to you in that department ..... :-\   ;)   ;D

SHB, I still eat those Van Camps Beeny Weenies in the little cans with the poptop lid.  I will probably pack some for the Trip to NE in Oct.  I still smoked back then so I traded to the smokes a lot. That's where I started smoking unfiltered smokes beacuse everyone wanted Winstons, Marlboros, Salems, and Newports which were filtered. Nobody wanted the Pall Malls, Camels, Luckys, Chesterfields, and unfiltered Kools.

No ... but I'm purty sure the Saudis served us some - they supplied a lot of the meals and all the water.

SHB, I beg to differ on us not having taste. I think that being able to pick out the best entrees out of the C-Rats do require a great deal expertise and gourmet taste buds.

Colonel Davenport, Sir!

Glad to see I was close to the top of interested parties ...... but it is actually Rattlesnake Jack Robson ....

(Rattle Snake Jack Robinson is no relation .... though I believe he may be distant kin to that marooned Swiss family ....
.... or perhaps to that other chap, Crusoe ....   ;) )

'Nuff sillines ... I'll be submitting my entry Post Haste!  However, before doing so, would I be correct in assuming cheques or money orders should be made payable to you?

"Checks" ..... HMMMPPHH!

(Mumble, mumble .....  Dratted Americans have absolutely no conception of the correct spelling of "cheques" ...... nor of such basic English words as "colour" and "honour", I might add.   Likely the result of transporting themselves about for so long on railroads, rather than railways .....  and hardly being able to enjoy a proper cup of tea ..... and ..... mumble, mumble .....  ;D)

Now, on a slightly  more serious note - Just a 'head's up' that the registration info and form appear to be formatted for legal-size paper (i.e. 8 1/2" X 14") and may not print properly on regular letter-size paper .....

Must be a Canadian thing... like Cheques and Colours... Printed fine on mine ;)

As an after thought, I can accept Paypal too.

Is Paypal spelled the same in the Grandmother's land? ;D

Perhaps I've got my system set to "British English" rather than "American English" and that's the problem!   ;)

I spell it PayPal ..... and check (not cheque) there for a payment notification, by the way!  (Also look for an e-mail with scanned registration form attached.  Let me know if you need anything else.  For example, should I have "topped up" the PayPal remittance for any fees they charge?)

Jerry:

One other question of great import - why are two handsome, sophisticated Officers and Gentlemen of our undeniable stature both glued to the computer on a Friday night, anyway?

Well what kind do you want, Lap Sang Soushong, Earl Grey Darjleeng (most likely misspelled all but Eral Grey) or what? :)

Well I wasn't on last night, had better things to do, like shut mine down cause of a rather nasty T-storm that was throwin' lightning bolts right over top at the rate of about 10 a minute. ;D

The Central District contingent is still working out details - most of which concern suitable transportation large enough to fit 5 or 6  grown men, their gear AND be affordable.  There's also a small problem related to scheduling; Jed Cooper may be getting a "promotion" (to detective) and he's making sure the vacation time will carry over to the new job.

IF we can all get this together, it SHOULD be:

Jeff "Steel Horse Bailey"
Dave "Jed Cooper" Hollandsworth
Tony "Will Munny" Hollandsworth
"Ottawa Creek Bill" Proctor
William Proctor

Unfortunately, our own "Black Bart" Stewart's work schedule changed and he (most likely) won't be with us.

Also: I did the online enlistment form thing for William Proctor last week just as Lt.Col. Eagle Eyes Jefferson was leaving on vacation.  I don't know if that enlistment has been received/processed, just yet - but he's one of us, now.  If needed, I'll re-submit.

I received a message from Lt. Col. Dusty Tagalon who will be doing the scoring again this year. He is requesting a list of participants by Sept. 1 so that he can put together the name badges and scoring software. Also it would be a great help to Delmonico to know how many he will be cooking for. So, please get those registrations in. We've had nearly 40 initial requests for bunk space in the barracks, but so far have had only 10 official conformations.

We're still up in the air, but we will report ASAP.

It may end up with only 3 of us.

I'm really counting on this and have been since I had to miss last year's muster.  Doggone gas prices and real-life schedules, anyway!
