A machinist friend and I modified a mould I had already and came up with a 308 grain bullet with a .460 diameter Big Lube(tm) bullet. I have had a few guys asking for a lighter .458 bullet for the new Chapparral 45-60's and we came up with this. Should be  good for light 45-70 or HEAVY 45 Colt in BP also.

Cool. Now all I have to do is get a .45-60. So, I'm working on it. Slowly.

Springfield Slim

Yeah, me too.  Been hard to justify a gun I can't shoot in the regular matches. Sure would like a carbine version though.

All right you did it. ;D You are the man Slim. They look like they'll work OK.
These are the bullet that give a 2.250 OAL, right?
I'll be giving you a call or sending a check shortly.
I want to give these a try. Doc O

I don't have any brass to check them in but from the crimp groove to the nose is approx. .375. So I think it will make 2.260 bullets. Should be close enough.

I wonder how well it would work with, say, a 45-90 WCF?

My 1886 LOVES GOEX Express FFg and I can dump about 80gr under a Lee 340gr bullet.

I'd like to go with a lighter bullet, but, finding a 300gr one that has good lube groves has been a challenge. (and I hate the idea of using a grease cookie to further reduce my load)

Could I get a sample of say a dozen from some one here?

Now there's a KD killer for Cowboy .45 Special.  Load that on top of 15 grains of BP, and it ought to run right about 550 fps ;)  Make a neat little round to knock most anything a$$ over teakettle :)

Now there's an idea. I have 200 rounds of your brass I haven't loaded yet.
