Why by all means do come ,we need all the Hunters we can muster . We are 5 hours closer than Hooten .

Ol Gabe

Just curious...
But with all the recent news stories about Black Bears coming in closer to civilization, are there any in the area where you are having the event?
Best regards and watch out for that trap!

The Black Bears are in the Eastern part of Kentucky and unless some Eastern Ky. Bear Hunters dog chases one this way we will be Bearless . But we will have a good time talkin about hunting .  ???

The real reason there are no bear in western KY. Texas Jack Stephens and his pack of Stephens Stock Mtn. Cur have treed them all. Hey Rowdy we are suppose to dress as our favorite bear hunter? I am my favorite bear hunter :D TJ

I have a question ? Did Texas Jack learn from Ben Lilly or did he teach Ben everything he knew . Now be ready to shoot because the shooting will be fast and furious and they aint close either .

French Jack

Some feller named Peevine said that he intends to add some more scalps to his belt, seems he collected them all last Saturday, and needs some more to balance the belt.

See you Saturday, Good Lord willing and the creeks don't rise.

French Jack

P.S.-- watch yer topknot

Rowdy, Ben was a great hunter and always used dogs. He had one of the best packs and was always training a young dog, so he would have one coming on all the time. If he had the best, then he had to have a few little black Stephens Stock in his pack. Probadly was his best strike dog.  Sure will be good to see Peevine, Charlie, and French Jack. Hope Red River Fred gets to come. He needs to bring his book of poems. We will want to hear about that McGee fellow from TN. TJ
