Hello SSS,

What Eye and/or face protection do you use when casting?  I'd appreciate your comments and or suggestions.

Thanks,

Two Flints

I wear eye glasses, is all. Sit in a chair with the electric pot on a low bench about knee level, that way my face is not over the molten lead. Water off to the side, on the floor, where I drop the bullets into. doors and windows open, fan if I need it.

I wear glasses, cause if I don't I can't see.  Water (if used) is well away from the pot.

Long sleeve sweat shirt, flight gloves, respirator and eye protection.  Over the years, on several occasions, I am glad I have taken these precautions.

Longsleeve fatigue jacket with buttoned cuffs; welder's glove on left hand (holding the mould handles); lighter canvas glove on right hand (for dexterity); wool baseball cap, with brim to the rear; leather apron that covers my chest, legs, knees and upper shins; combat boots (normal wear for me anyway for foot/ankle support; FULL plastic face mask helmet.

Hope this helps!
