KIK powder

Okay pards, I went to check on powder prices on Power Inc and Goex is going for 11.75 with shipping and haz fees included if you buy 25 or 50 lb lots. Goex is what I have been using very successfully (not in terms of my finishes at match just that it works quite well) and have seen little fouling when using about 37 gns of FF in my 45LC packed under my Big Lube 250 boolets.

However, while I was looking on the site I noticed that KIK powder was running 10.50/lb with shipping and haz fees again in lots of 25 or 50 lbs. I do not remember hearing anything about the quality of KIK or where it is made. If someone can provide a pard with some info, it would be appreciated.

I have been using KIK for a couple of seasons now and am VERY happy with it for my CAS loads. It does good in my 45-70 too. Haven't tried it in my front stuffers so the artical in the link above was interesting!

I always wanted to try some KIK powder but PowderINC is always out when I make my order ...I`ll try harder next time to get some .

Cuts did you notice and difference in the feel of the recoil with KIK? I noticed in the article that KIK seemed to have a higher velosity for the same charge of Goex. Did you change your load when you shifted from Goex to KIK?

No I really didn't notice any "increase" in felt recoil........but then I have always loaded the biggest charge of 3F I could squeeze under a 250 grainer so it is probably moot. However, all of my non CAS shooting is done with full house loads of smokeless so BP "feels" pretty light to me generally speaking.
