Yep I found a half round half Octagon short barrel for a 73 that my Pard and gunsmith Johnny Meadows is gonna change out for me.

Then I will have 2  in 44/40. I think it will look great  with the barrel half and half.

Will report back when I get to shoot it and see how it prints  on paper.

I hope to be able to use it for the Yavapai Rangers Yearly shoot.

Howdy

I saw one with a half octagon/half round barrel just the other day. Owned by a guy at my club. Brand new. 44-40, 24" half & Half barrel, delux pistol grip with checkering. This one had a 3/4" length magazine, so I suspect it would not hold 10 rounds in the chamber, but the owner is not a Cowboy shooter, so I doubt he cares. Very handsome rifle.
That's bad business! How long do you think I'd stay in operation if it cost me money every time I pulled a job? If he'd pay me that much to stop robbing him, I'd stop robbing him.

Ya probably inherited every penny ya got!

Driftwood I did not have the Pistol grip version. Wish I did . Mine is a plain Jane but I wanted a short 44/40 so in the barrel goes. It is rather short.

Will post photos later
