Hadn't looked at it that way.  I don't think it is bare metal but it sure looks cool to me.  It cost more than the others so I would assume it won't rust away after the first match.

After talking with Frio about what he did to get my 44 Russians antiqued (he did them well before I bought them)...he mentioned to me that he didn't think he would do it again because it was so much work to be done right.

Since I have the 44's and a TTN with antique finish - I have considered getting my 66 antiqued just to have a matching set.

But, I am not sure I want to strip the finish off...  I do like the browned finish that Nate's Winchester/natechester (he built all the internals) has...

Wahoooo Pards - enjoyed a no miss match yesterday!

What a nice way to get back inot shooting after a mostly summer long drought.

I don't believe I had thrown lead down range since May - ughhhh.

Sarah and I hit the road on Friday for Roanoke, Va for the State match

BTW we are celebrating Cardinal Wind's, Sarah's, B-Day today.  My buckarette is 10 years old!
