I had a great time. Burtha roared and fun was had by all....I hope. Shot the star twice. Got a chance to shoot at flying birds (I actually got one) and Burtha roared. We collected a bit over $3600 for WWP.

Found out that Nutmegger managed to get a mighty 10 in an estate sell. Also meet a new (to us) shooter today who is a darksider and also has an original mighty 10. Getting to be a mighty popular around the old F&B posse.

I had a great time talking with Mordecai Scarlett. It turns out he is a darksider and as serious one at that. I think we will be adding another member to the F&B Posse. The boy has an original 10g and likes to shoot the cap and ball pistolas. Young fella with young kids and a job that has him traveling so we may not see him as often as we or he might like. Mentioned all the annuals to him and emphasized Roundup and the Smoke. I doubt he will make Roundup but he wants to go to Smoke.

PR he lives back behind the Walmart off College. The three of us should get together for coffee one day.

Will that sounds great! I have found out that there should be about 3 companies that made hammered 10 guages through the 1920-30's.

Since I should have that hammerless Fox sxs in 12 guage in a couple weeks - I think i will be patient replacing my hammered 12 guage for now.

I am always up for coffee and friends! Sounds like MS is a good one - we can always use more smokey folks!

I am still down with flu - battled it sunday night through monday evening. Fever seems to be gone but drinking lots of fluid and scarfing up all the fruit and chicken noodle soup I can handle.

Application to Smoke was given to MM saturday and my application for Round-up was just given to the poney express rider this am.

Shooting Mattaponi this weekend - have to deliver girl scout cookies to all those that ordered!

Was lookin' thru the Chronicle yesterdy and noticed they are going to have a FCGF category at End of Trail. So let me get this straight, the TGs vote not to make it an official category but the mother of all SASS shoots decides to offer it.

*sigh* The problem with the voting at the TG summit was that a large number of clubs did NOT submit their votes to SASS either in proxy (like we did for Pungo and Mattaponi Sundowners) or in person. MM also submitted our votes directly to Hipshot for our proxy as well, just in case. I don't have the exact numbers, but it was upwards of 300 SASS affiliated clubs (out of 600 or so) that did not vote AT ALL.

But, on an up note, maybe this will prove to the TGs that FCGF should be a recognized catagory and get a Yea vote at this year's conference. If they (the Wild Bunch) approved the catagory at EOT, it should be a clue to the TGs (notice I said should be). I'm pretty sure this will be an agenda item again this year.

Well, gotta git ready for *spit* work......
