It was a great shoot and I am already looking forward to next year.

It was way too hot though. If then are gonna plan for 8 stages again, they ought to think about doing it in cooler weather.

Congrats to PC and Lefty.

I must say the stages were great. I think all the stages had it written such that the rifle and pistol sequencing were the same. That was good as the heat did make concentration a little challenging.

One comment I have that we should keep in mind at West Point where we do down range. There should be someone dedicated to getting the long guns. It is difficult to set up the staging such that you will not inadvertently have the RO, shooter and/or the spotters sweep by empty, action open long guns. There were several stages Sunday where we were probably sweeping folks because of the way the fired long guns were staged.

Looking forward to Saturday. Git another shoot in before Star City.

Hey VA and other F&B members and other asscoiated friends.

the Host Holiday Inn in Roanoke VA still has rooms for the VA State shoot.

They no longer have blocked rooms available but they honored the price anyway

Can't beat that?

I will be in Williamsburg and doing one last Beach weekend for the summer.

I need to reload some brass meself!! - its all cleaned up and shiny with new primers just needs some powder - over powder card, cushion, shot, overshot card and glue!!!

Werk has been major challenge these past two weeks with supervisor out and multiple people out sick.

But it looks like that is getting better.

Howdy Pards, Been real busy lately, not much time to get on the puter but I been talkin to the folks at Bend of Trail and it sounds like we gona have a great match. Last count was 110 shooters, We should have a few vendors, Taylor's & Co, Miz Annie's Fine things(exclusive vendor for the famous Missouri Marshal Loadin Blocks

) Linecutter's Engraving( he donated another engraved pistol this year) and Lazy J Leather. Might be more. If you shoot long range side matches go to the VA State shoot page on my web site and the ranges are posted. Folks at RRRC have been workin their butts of to make this a great shoot. Had a great match today at West Point. Not too many pards made it, but those what did got to shoot six great stages written by MM.

Had a great time and now I am really looking forward to Star City. Trapper Dan was at the match today and he says they got an interesting bonus target. I shall say no more.
