I did the same with my redone 1873 St Etienne pistolas.

WW or MM who from Pungo/West Point typically shoots up in Mechanicsville? Sarah and i might just get two day of shooting available to us.

I CANNOT BELIEVE IT!!!!!!!!!!  I went to get my pistolas and lo and behold the shop was closed.      I guess I'll have to wait until Saturday after all. 

PR I've not shot up there in a long time.  I kinda gave up when they started having 10 shot shotgun stages.

They are closed mondays every week but are open tuesday-saturday.

I am picking up 5k large pistol primers friday and thinking about shooting saturday and sunday.

One the shoot - I have not had a free of phone weekend in awhile!  Looking to take advantage and Sarah needs to shoot - so she says!

Pungo Posse renewal goes in the mail today as well as my ROUND-UP application

Cardinal Wind and I will be having an adventure at Roundup doing the pop-up camper at the campground. Now I just got to figure out what kind of grub we will be having and all the stuff we will need.

I will be offline for awhile - due to some last minute TDY i picked up in Washington DC.  Hope abunch of us get some kind of shooting in this weekend.

This mid Feb storm coming in tonight looks like it might spoil things...at least for saturday...

No shooting this weekend.  However, I did pickup up the Pietas today.  They feel good but trying them out will have to wait.   
Nate wasn't there due to hurting his back so I didn't get the full rundown from him on what was done.  I'm sure they will work great.  Cannot wait to give them a run.  Next match whenever that happens. 

While I was at the shop I also pickup up a 45LC/410 barrel for my Bond Arms.  Now I just need to order the 410 brass.

Took my Army's out for a little field deployment today. Dropped a cap on one hole, meant to recap it and make it go bang. Forgot, got home dowsed it down in moosemilk and realized when I went to clean and re-assemble it I left the loaded round in it. I will remove it tomorrow. If the weather gods will approve I will try some more next week.


It's a lot of work being me. I don't get nearly the time I need to pamper me either.

Well this'n is a horse show weekend for me - supporting my eldest girl with that fancy english riding stuff she is so good at.

Hope to shoot with some of ya'll at Sussex in March.

Dang our winter weather down here has not be kind to shooting together...

Got that right PR.  I have not been doing much Smoking recently.  I got my .410 brass shotshells in today.  Think I'll see about loading a couple and see how the deringer will do.

Just loaded my first two .410 BP loads.       Used 40gns ffg, a cardboard over powder card (from the 45-70 loads) a wonder wad from the .44 C&B, filled to the top of the case with #8 shot and another cardboard card.  Then I hot glued the card by basically putting a blob to fill the case to the top.  I'm going to take them to the next match (hopefully next weekend if the weather will cooperate) and see how they work out of the Bond Arms deringer.  Should be entertaining if nothing else.  Hope to make it a snake load, either slithering or walking.

I'm sure it will be pretty wide but for the distances I would expect to use it, it hope it will be alright.  May want to go to larger shot.

I handled a 410 sxs the other day.

It was so cute!

But i decided to wait since Sarah is still getting used to the weight of the rifle.

Once we decide where we will be residing I may look to see if there is an indoor range that I can get a membership to somewhere.

did a little experiment with shot shell last week. I still haven't finished the video but here is what I saved.

LR that was an interesting video.  You are loading spent primers and deformed bullets?  How did the deformed bullets work?  I would guess it was similar to the 00 shot but bigger.  You are a wild man!!!!

Bullets well to say it the proper way, so no one is confused. Melt them down to something useful. Like new bullets or fishing sinkers.

Spent Primers I would adventure to say that the spent primers would knock down a Shotgun KD. Not sure the Range masters would approve of them littering their grounds or would the gods that govern the SASS rules approve.

Bird seed was useless last year when I tried it.
