Wahoooooooooooooooo loaded me up about 40 shotgun shells last night!

The smell of BP was making me realize how long it had been since I have shot!

Her is to shooting the first weekend of July!

Went by the Horse n Pony show here yesterday afternoon, felt sorry for 'm in the 104°. Top that off had a big storm blow thru at dark.

If you all are shootin' this weekend take plenty of fluids with ya.

Well - seems this big ole container ship coming from NY/NJ is calling upon my port...

I am working at least saturday and may spend some time working sunday...c'est la vie.

Drink plenty of liquids, eat stuff that gets them electrolytes back into you, wear light clothes if possible and find shade when you can.

MM and I shot our annual quals with the department yesterday - it was scorching!! One guy ended up at the hospital with heat exhaustion. He asked me before he left how MM and I do it every weekend and I told him that if this was a cowboy shooting day, we wouldn't have shot. Both clubs cancelled their shoots this weekend and for that I am glad. I love to shoot, but sometimes ya just gotta use common sense..... We drink a lot during a shoot, but somedays you just can't keep up.

And with that in mind, MM is NOT going to put a new roof on our shed this weekend.....

Pards, drink plenty of fluids and eat small frequent meals. I love ya'll and want ya to stay healthy!!

I will say a lighter blue uniform would be useful today; however, we don't have folks shotting back at us and we are not miles away from home.

Hope everyone has a safe weekend and that the storms did not cause any of our pards and pardettes and damage.

BTW I am in discussion with Badwater Bill on Cardinal Wind's rig...she will have two pistolas and a rifle for State. I think we will just have her take misses for the shotgun targets or use a rifle on them - her frame being so small...don't want to dissuade her as she is wanting more and more to shoot with me.

PR I believe it's Cabelas that offers a 12 ga to 410 conversin kit for single shot and double barrels. I have seen a youngin' up in Maryland use one. He was only 10 or so and pretty good with it. Still knocking targets down.

No issues at my place except no power & phone. I am at work now charging my cell phone & checking email. May not get power back until next weekend!

No power here from last night until about 10:30 this morning, just as it was starting to heat up again. Had to rig up the generator since the well pump won't run without power. My nephew is going to help me rig up my power panel so I can hook the generator to it in these situations and get the critical stuff online. Wish I had the moolah to put in a whole house generator, but those a quite pricey and you have to pay for the Propane to run them too.

Wasn't bad in my parish but some of the surrounding communities were hit bad. Including SB's neighborhood. When I left work this morning, there was still nearly 900k without power in the dc metro area.

I understand a tornado touched near Mechanicsville and a small tremor was felt near Lousia again over the weekend.

Has anyone recalculated the math on the mayan Calendar lately?

I picked up and could not let go of a HK416 22lr M-4 style carbine.

One 20 and a 30 round mag. It sure is sweet!

It is a "black" rifle so I will give it a pass:)

The ergonomics are awesome and the package of upgrades compared to the other 22lr m-4 style carbines led me to it.

If we shoot saturday - I will bring it for lunch break fun.
