UP 'spossed to have a 4-8-4 about ready to run.  I'd put a CD player in it an blast Hank Snow on it. ;D

Think I hear the fair maden singin
Sweetly sings my Liza Lee

Liza Lee, Liza lee sure as the mornin dew

Since you started on Cat Stevens.  ::)

I was once like you are now, and I know that it’s not easy,
To be calm when you’ve found something going on.
But take your time, think a lot,
Why, think of everything you’ve got.
For you will still be here tomorrow, but your dreams may not.

You've given me goosebumps, Scattered Thumbs.

All the times that I cried, keeping all the things I knew inside,
It's hard, but it's harder to ignore it.
If they were right, I'd agree, but it's them you know not me.
Now there's a way and I know that I have to go away.
I know I have to go.

I'm kind of young to be your Daddy, ;D  but here goes.

It’s not time to make a change,
Just sit down, take it slowly.
You’re still young, that’s your fault,
There’s so much you have to go through.
Find a man*, settle down,
If you want you can marry.
Look at me, I am old, but I’m happy.

* edited, don't want to make a lesbian out of you. ;D

My child arrived just the other day,
He came to the world in the usual way.
But there were planes to catch, and bills to pay.
He learned to walk while I was away.
And he was talking 'fore I knew it, and as he grew,
He'd say, "I'm gonna be like you, dad.
You know I'm gonna be like you."

And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon,
Little boy blue and the man in the moon.
"When you coming home, dad?" "I don't know when,
But we'll get together then.
You know we'll have a good time then."

My son turned ten just the other day.
He said, "Thanks for the ball, dad, come on let's play.
Can you teach me to throw?" I said, "Not today,
I got a lot to do." He said, "That's ok."
And he walked away, but his smile never dimmmed,
Said, "I'm gonna be like him, yeah.
You know I'm gonna be like him."

And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon,
Little boy blue and the man in the moon.
"When you coming home, dad?" "I don't know when,
But we'll get together then.
You know we'll have a good time then."

Well, he came from college just the other day,
So much like a man I just had to say,
"Son, I'm proud of you. Can you sit for a while?"
He shook his head, and he said with a smile,
"What I'd really like, dad, is to borrow the car keys.
See you later. Can I have them please?"

And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon,
Little boy blue and the man in the moon.
"When you coming home, son?" "I don't know when,
But we'll get together then, dad.
You know we'll have a good time then."

I've long since retired and my son's moved away.
I called him up just the other day.
I said, "I'd like to see you if you don't mind."
He said, "I'd love to, dad, if I could find the time.
You see, my new job's a hassle, and the kid's got the flu,
But it's sure nice talking to you, dad.
It's been sure nice talking to you."
And as I hung up the phone, it occurred to me,
He'd grown up just like me.
My boy was just like me.

And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon,
Little boy blue and the man in the moon.
"When you coming home, son?" "I don't know when,
But we'll get together then, dad.
You know we'll have a good time then."

Ahh, you posted a good one, Cousin Slim! I always liked Harrry. I've heard he was a good man as well as a good singer and lyricist, that he gave back as much as he got if not more so.

Scattered Thumbs, one of the guys I know around here has often asked me why I am a nun, when I could be a lesbian. According to him, I should not eliminate the possibilities of half the population! But I know what I like, and for me, women are soft in all the wrong places!

Time on my side
I got it all
I've heard that pride
Always comes before a fall
There's a rumour goin' round the town
That you don't want me around
I can't shake off my city blues
Everyway I turn I lose

Chorus
Love is like oxygen
You get too much you get too high
Not enough and you're gonna die
Love gets you high

Time is no healer
When you're not there
Lonely fever
Sad words in the air
Some things are better left unsaid
I'm gonna spend my days in bed
I'll walk the streets at night
To be hidden by the city lights city lights

Well, Miz Lee
I am feelin a bit better, thanks for the gentle hugs....
As for Old Top, he is not one to brag on hisself, so here is the story

We shot with the Silver Qeene last Sunday. When I looked up the scores, we were back to our normal scoring. (last month, Top had his Remmie jamb, so I scored above him...) This month we are back to him being 5th and me 6th. But on the first stage he was scored as ranking FIRST for that stage. with a clean time of 14 some odd seconds..He thinks they mis read the timer...oh well, he has the braggin rights for now, and he did shoot it quite smooth...

will find a song later.
have a good day
