Why o why is the following song currently playing inside my head? It isn't Christmas music, and I haven't heard it on the radio:

Are you going to Scarborough Fair,
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme,

Remember me to the one who lives there,
She once was a good friend of mine...

I don't know, but I'd do something about it, quick!  :P

Old Top

Miss Annie,

I would not worry about it miss annie you just have the simon and garfunlke blues.  Standing by for more thwacking.

Old Top
I only shoot to support my reloading habit.

Curley Cole

Yer all wrong, yer are talking about side one "Tye my Kangaroo down sport".
I figured Old Top would get this one (since he has the 45, not calibre)
side two is  "SunArise"

I can't even remember how it goes but it is pretty

Miz Lee, did you know that Simon and Garfarkle also did a song called "Annies Song"?

Miss Annie,

Keep thwacking him if he is addled enough I may be able to outshoot him, and he is correct on the song by Simon and Garfunkle now if I can just find it under the cats I will listen to it.

Curley Cole

I have been calling you Miz Lee much longer that you been thwacking Old Top.
I do it out of the old fashioned courtsey and respect.....But, since we have been discussing yer "flannels" I suppose I could act more familar...

I too will have to dig out the old albums to find the song...it is obscure to be sure.
and you all are ignoring the other side of tye my kangroo down...can't ya find yer 45's Top?

I was tired and went to bed early, so of course I am up early!

I went looking for the lyrics for Annie's Song by Simon and Garfunkle, but all I could find was one by John Denver. Is this it?

You fill up my senses
like a night in the forest
like the mountains in springtime,
like a walk in the rain
like a storm in the desert,
like a sleepy blue ocean
you fill up my senses,
come fill me again.

Come let me love you,
let me give my life to you
let me drown in your laughter,
let me die in your arms
let me lay down beside you,
let me always be with you
come let me love you,
come love me again.

(instrumental)

You fill up my senses
like a night in the forest
like the mountains in springtime,
like a walk in the rain
like a storm in the desert,
like a sleepy blue ocean
you fill up my senses,
come fill me again.

Google is my friend:

Sun Arise come every mornin'
Sun Arise come every mornin'
Sun Arise come every mornin'
Bringin' back the warmth to the ground

Sun Arise fillin' up the hollow
Sun Arise fillin' up the hollow
Sun Arise fillin' up the hollow
Bringin' back the warmth to the ground

Sun Arise, she come every mornin'
Sun Arise, each and every day
Sun Arise, she come every mornin'
Sun Arise
ever-y ever-y ever-y ever-y day

She drive away the darkness everyday
She drive away the darkness everyday
She drive away your darkness everyday
Bringin' back the warmth to the ground

Sun Arise
Whoa-oh-oh
Sun Arise
Whoa-oh-oh
Sun Arise
Whoa-oh-oh
ever-y ever-y ever-y ever-y day

Annie
Thank you kindly for the lyrics, a high spot in this miserable week...(hopefully will end 11pm and leave me alone for a couple of days.

Actually JD did 2 annies songs....I even posted part of "more annies song" earlier..

The SG song I am thinking about is on the back of the album that Sounds of Silence first appeared. (I may be wrong, and it may end up being Amys song or something......but usually I am good at this stuff..)

Hmmm.. on the back of "Sounds of Silence"? Wouldn't that be

Kathy's Song?

I hear the drizzle of the rain
Like a memory it falls
Soft and warm continuing
Tapping on my roof and walls.

And from the shelter of my mind
Through the window of my eyes
I gaze beyond the rain-drenched streets
To England where my heart lies.

My mind's distracted and diffused
My thoughts are many miles away
They lie with you when you're asleep
And kiss you when you start your day.

And a song I was writing is left undone
I don't know why I spend my time
Writing songs I can't believe
With words that tear and strain to rhyme.

And so you see I have come to doubt
All that I once held as true
I stand alone without beliefs
The only truth I know is you.

And as I watch the drops of rain
Weave their weary paths and die
I know that I am like the rain
There but for the grace of you go I.

Then again, I always liked "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" by the Allman Brothers. Here are the lyrics for that one:
