Here is an interesting item on GunsAmerica.  Description says:

Old West Cowboy Gun made from a Martial Remington New Model Army factory conversion using a 46 caliber 5 shot Rollin White Patent Cylinder. Now Center Fire. Patent stamp faintly visible. Recoil shield is grooved and it has a added recoil plate. The barrel has been shortened to 6 1/2 inches by cutting the barrel at the breech and rethreading. A new sight was added at the same time. A crude ejector added, attaching it to the side of the frame and in the hole for the loading lever catch. Barrel markings are faintly visible. Inspectors cartouche is still visible on the original grips. The angle of the hammer spur has also been changed. The cylinder spring has been changed. Overall brown patina with a little surface corrosion on the frame. Action works fine.

Neat ejector.

Thanks for posting.  Always interesting to hear about / see these old conversions. . . . Good shootin', . . . .  :)
Beware the man with one gun, he probably knows how to use it.
